Can the Hard Left blackmail candidate or Presdent Obama?

 This has me wondering.

Clearly, Barack Obama is fighting very hard to prevent the publication of much of what he did in Chicago.  Now, some of it may just be good opposition to opposition research.  On the other hand,  if he truly is worried, then those who do have access to Obama's record have something over him.  And who has access to Obama's record?  Why, those who worked with him in Chicago, of course!  And who are those people?  The very people he's trying to disassociate himself from: the hard left nutballs whom most of America wants to be nowhere near the White House.

I'm shocked, shocked I tell you

that there could be skeletons in Barack Obama's career closet.

Jim Geraghty's a Jack Russell Terrier, and unless Gibbs, Miner and company have already applied UV Protection (or a shredder) to those billing records, it will be interesting to see how they fare if Geraghty's able to expose them to the cleansing sunlight of public information.

On the bright side, if anything really damning turns up, maybe it'll turn up in time for the DNC to replace Barack Obama with Dennis Haysbert.  Haysbert's actually more Presidential anyway.

I wonder why no one seems interested in the strange coincidence

that both of Obama's 2004 opponents (primary and general election) had messy stuff in their divorce files leaked to the press?

Why is it strange? ..

You do know that Jack Ryan's former wife is a semi-famous actress .. right? ... You think that the stuff was going to remain private?  Hell, if you were a court employee ..  plenty of sites would pay for that kind of juicy info

Actually, what's strange

is that you consistently protest virulently against illegal search and seizure by the government yet you seem profoundly disinterested in the ethical challenges posed by those Court employees who are sworn by oath to support, at a minimum their State Constitutions, yet think nothing of selling their neighbors' private information to the highest bidder.

Either you utterly condemn only the Executive Branch when it's occupied by a Republican who violates the Constitution and you still love your neighbors no matter what they do, or you're experiencing cognitive dissonance between what you think you know about the Presidency and what you think you know about the private citizenry, in which one set of standards hasn't quite caught up with the other.  Either way, your selective tolerance for intrusion and privacy violation does fascinate me.

His primary opponent was an obscure gazillionaire

who had his divorce files ransacked.

The juxtaposition of Obama's opponents having their dirty laundry aired while his disappears into the memory hole is just a coincidence.

BTW, maybe that explains his FISA flip. If the "right to privacy": was really important to the Left Blair Hull and Jack Ryan would have had a bare knuckled billionaire's brawl in 2004. Obviously someone made sure that would not occur. For what reason, I can only conjecture.
