Ok, so I wanted to get away for a bit from discussing the horserace of the 2008 election and instead wanted people to talk about the mechanics.
I guess on Monday the Hill reported that Obama is reported to raise $100 million and generate 3 million in new donors, Steve Grossman says that at the end of the campaign Obama might have 5 million donors.

My question isn't how did they grow a list that big, but how complete do you think the CRM is for it's staff to utilize.
Let me posit a few....
Do we on the right utilize and invest enough in proper database managment and manipulation of voter/volunteer/donor data? (I say no)
While the right has been credited to ushering in the new ear of microtargetting... why is all of that (very expensive) data secret and always in a cloud of secrecy?
How do we organically create systems and ways for smaller campaigns to manipulate and track data on voters in their district?
Does anyone think that the RNC's voter vault is sufficient?
Who here has database experience and can shed some light on all of this?
