Texas vs. California - #7

Leading into the 2009 legislative session, our courageous governor is on a mission to cut spending.  Money graf(s):

Perry, who has sought to make the economy one of his signature issues, often points to the fact that Texas added more than 250,000 jobs last year as vindication of his economic approach, which includes low taxes and a business friendly regulatory environment....Perry said he's convinced that Texas has the right climate for attracting jobs but that the projected job losses will result from the national and international economies. He pointed out that other big states such as Florida and California face huge budget deficits, while he described the Texas budget outlook as "flat."

Meanwhile, California's governor continues to rattle the tin cup around Washington.
