Is the new Yankee Stadium's waster of taxpayer money a positive or a negative?  How is allowing New York to be fleeced by Steinbrenner for a stadium he could have afforded not something we're condemning here?  Corporate welfare indeed.

I'm not exactly against taxpayer funded sports venues.  It just seems that the Yankees of anybody did not need the money.  I don't expect the Minnesota Twins or the Milwalkee Brewers to be able to afford their own ballpark.
