anti-semitism

Rights? What Rights?

Glenn Beck is under fire from the left again. Now they are insisting that he is an anti-semite. What prompted this latest accusation? A verbal attack on Israel, perhaps? Maybe he forgot to get a coffee for Rabbi Lapin after his Fox News program last week? Uh… no.

The liberals’ latest desperate attempt at discrediting a conservative celebrity is one of the most ludicrous to date. Glenn’s frequent reports on the history and activities of George Soros has the socialists scraping the smear barrel. While it is true that Soros was born into a Jewish family, by his own admission he is a committed atheist. Furthermore, he has said he has no time for Israel or religion (unless he can make personal use of it, I’d guess!).

There’s that liberal hypocrisy thing again. The very people that are constantly criticizing Israel, to the point where they regard the construction of a thousand homes as a greater crime than the constant rocket attacks by Hamas, are now pretending to be friends of Judaism.

The next time I hear these folks publicly denouncing Ahmadinejad for his opinion that Israel should cease to exist, I might say that they do have some genuine concern. Don’t hold your breath, though.

The liberals are, or should I say were, masters of the use of race to further their aims. That ploy was exposed a long time ago, and only the Homer Simpsons of this world would still fall for these tricks. As Cass Sunstein said, “We know people are human and have some Homer Simpson in them, then there’s a lot that can be done to manipulate them.”

It’s strange that these people, who are always the first to protest at the slightest hint of rights violations against terrorists, illegal immigrants and convicted felons, are strangely silent on the subject of TSA search procedures.

The only group that has really spoken out at all is CAIR… no surprise there, really. While every other race and religion undergoes the humiliation of being groped (sorry, there’s no other way to describe it), minors included, the followers of the religion of peace have special dispensation to perform their own ‘pat-downs’. Maybe the DEA will allow people to perform their own ‘drug-busts’ next? Now that is irony. Followers of the cult that has instigated this whole state of affairs are now checked less thoroughly than everyone else.

A lot of supermarkets that once had ‘self-scan’ checkouts disposed of them. Some dishonest customers were packing items that they hadn’t scanned. Think about it.

I have to give credit to Hillary Clinton for her comments in a television interview, when she said that she would not want to undergo the procedures, given the choice. It’s a distancing from the Obama cold comment that they are “necessary”. It probably is necessary, for him to feel that he has one up on the American people. Make the most of your power trip, it won’t last much longer.

Shimon Peres Is Right – Britain Is Anti-Semitic.

The London Daily Telegraph got its panties in a huge wad over comments made by Israeli President Shimon Peres, that England was deeply pro-Arab and anti-Israeli. I guess the truth must sting.

Queen Elizabeth presents Shimon Peres with the Order of St Michael and St George at Buckingham Palace, November 2008.

Naturally, some of England’s ‘senior’ MPs, probably serving the same function there as our ever-bloviating John ‘Gunboats’ Kerry, were irate. Too bad they were not half as irate about surrendering a goodly part of their sovereignty to the Islamo-fascists, who are undermining British society on every level. I don’t see the Israelis with one legal system for their Jewish citizens and Sharia courts for Muslims in their midst, nor would they tolerate it for a second… but then they don’t have a death wish.

At least the Israelis know and recognize who and what the enemy is. After all, your own police, who by all accounts have had their powers and authority so diminished as to make them, and by extension your judicial system, a sad joke. Your police won’t go in to the Muslim slums around London without risking riot or death.

It’s no secret that friction has existed between the Jewish peoples of Palestine and Judea and England since the Balfour Declaration and the British Mandate. The Jewish peoples had been returning slowly but steadily to their lost homeland for centuries, and by the time of the mandate there were already some 100,000 Jews in Palestine.

After World War Two, large numbers of homeless, displaced Jewish people aided by Zionist organizations were reaching the Holy Land. It’s no secret that the British had self serving ‘agreements’ to limit the number of Jews reaching Palestine in favor of the Arabs. The infamous ‘White Paper’ of 1941 saw to this. It resulted in the rise of the Jewish resistance groups such as the Haganah, 1920-1948, and the Irgun, 1931-1948, who were in active revolt against the British authority and waged all but open war against the Arabs who were trying to crush them.

The Jewish memory is long, and they see England as an enemy of Zionism and the Israeli people. They read the British press as well as we do, and I’m here to tell you that it is generally very pro-Palestinian and anti-Israeli.

They see what is occurring in Britain, whose leadership is so feckless that it cannot stand up to the Islamist viper they have taken to their breast. Militant Islam is anti-semitism incarnate. Even weak-willed Belgium, the Netherlands and France have seen the light and are moving against the implacable foes within. So when the Israelis say that England is anti-semitic, they have reason.

Europe’s New Dark Ages.

Europe never recovered from the last one, so it seems. It’s a sad combination of the dregs of medieval barbarity and the ingrained subservience of the ‘peasant’ class. The emergence throughout Europe of a new and virulent anti-semitism is evidence of a further disintegration of European morality and an ugly window to the not-too-distant past.

There are whole libraries on Hebraic history, and any number of highly educated and friendly scholars who will give of their time and knowledge to those who honestly seek the truth. The Judean diaspora is said to have had its advent with the conquering of Israel in 722 BC by the Assyrians, the Jewish peoples having been scattered throughout the middle east. Still, with typical Jewish stubbornness and determination, groups of Jews here and there maintained their religious and cultural identity despite being widely separated.

After the Roman destruction of Jerusalem in 73 AD, following the Jewish revolt against Roman rule in 70 AD, the Romans harried the Jews from Palestine, scattering the remnants of the population across Asia, Africa, and Europe. Widely-scattered Jewish communities, stubbornly clinging to their religion and culture, were seldom welcomed in their adopted homelands, and being different were easy targets for both incidental and institutionalized discrimination and violence.

The word ‘pogrom’ means a violent attack, sometimes government or military sponsored, against a specific group of people. Pogroms were common throughout Europe and the Russia of the Tsars. Much of the hatred against European Jewry arose from the very success of these ‘interlopers’, as they were looked upon. Largely well-educated and prosperous through hard work and determination, they became easy targets in their isolated and powerless communities. That they were able to survive, much less prosper, under such conditions is no small testament to their adaptability.

Anti-semitism is a word coined by a German socialist, William Marr, in 1879. He founded the League for Anti-Semitism. The late philosopher Zvi Diesendruck stated that, “There has never been a standing term for this merely negative attitude, to any other people in history”. “Only anti-semitism; only against Jews”. The undercurrents of this pernicious practice can be seen right up to, and into, modern Europe. The culmination coming with the murders of millions of European Jews, and others, at the hands of the Nazis in Europe’s death camps. After the war there was a diaspora in reverse, as hundreds of thousands of displaced and homeless Jews made their way to the infant state of Israel. Anti-semitism, at least for the years after the war, was a shameful thing scorned by most good citizens of Europe. That it still existed and was just under the surface cannot be denied. Discriminatory practices in the old Soviet Union states were endemic against Jews.

Now, with in increase in Islamo-fascist populations through Europe, we see a new impetus towards violence and hatred toward European Jewry. The Jewish population who were fortunate enough to have left Europe before World War Two, and those who could not and were slaughtered, constituted an educated-class brain-drain that much of Europe has yet to recover from. Had Hitler had a few more Einsteins and a few less chicken farmers named Himmler, we might be in a whole different world today.

Europe, in its hide-bound arrogance, has nothing to recommend itself to anyone who loves freedom… freedom from oppression, freedom from fear. There may be another out-migration of Europe’s Jewry. In this day and age, unlike the travel-restricted Europe of yore, there is nothing to prevent Europe’s Jews from voting with their feet. It will be Europe’s loss and the world’s gain.

Helen Thomas, Deluded Anti-Semite.

Heck yeah Helen, send ‘em back to Poland and Germany! Should they rebuild the ovens? Helen Thomas hasn’t been an objective journalist for a long time, if she ever was. She was wrong then, she is wrong now.

What Helen Thomas apparently never knew, or forgot, is that there is no such thing as a Palestinian. They are troublesome Arabs that got thrown out of Jordan, or were Arabs that refused to live in the infant State of Israel. Furthermore, Israel stands on lands that have been the Jewish homeland for thousands of years.

Her statement was outrageous, intemperate and unguardedly anti-semitic. There have been indications in the past that Helen was no friend of Israel. Helen is nearly ninety and has been a fixture in beltway media forever. I don’t think that at all excuses what she said. Her statement was ill considered, but probably not that far away from the attitude held by many members of the lame stream press.

I’ve been watching the ugly re-emergence of anti-semitism around the world for some years now. It’s readily apparent to me that when we have an America with strong, principled leadership, anti-semitism largely drops into the background. With a Barack Obama or a Jimmy Carter, all of the nasty demons of anti-semitism re-emerge. It follows that in the face of weak leadership here in the United States, anti-semitism around the world is emboldened.

What is also apparent is that Barack Obama favors our enemies over our proven allies. The anti-Israel theme runs through Obama’s whole government. It’s no wonder that Israel’s foes worldwide are heartened. They know Obama hasn’t the testicular fortitude to do anything about it. Let us not forget that it was Barack Obama who stood meekly by when the third world President of Mexico came to this country and openly criticized us and our laws. Obama said nothing in defense. Come to think of it, Obama and Helen might have a lot in common.

Wright Warns Obama to be Himself

By now everyone has heard the comments from Obama's (former) Reverend, Jeremiah Wright blaming the Jews for his own isolation from his student (Obama) whom he married and who's children he baptised. So far, most of the reporting on this story is merely focused upon Wright and his blatant anti-Semitic ranting and antiJewism. The comments were played out in the context of his ridiculous accusations against the "Zionist's" and make believe ethnic cleansing of Gaza, an area ruled by Hamas and from where Israel withdrew in 2005.

What has not received as much attention is what is running between the lines of the Wright rant.

The reporter, David Squires of the http://www.dailypress.com/news/dp-local_wright_0610jun10,0,7603283.story  (Daily Press) speaking to Wright after the 95th annual Hampton University Ministers' Conference asked Wright what he would tell Obama, if his access were not cut off. Wright said he would tell him what he has told him all along (paraphrasing) that Obama should not let politics change who he is as a person. He counseled Obama to not let "policies and the people around him" change what he believes with the core and "fiber of your being". Wright concluded that if Obama compromised his beliefs he would turn into a puppet of a political machine and would no longer be himself. Incidentally, when Wright made his 'Jews around him' comment, Squires, the reporter, snickered. Whether that was an approving snicker or an embarrassed one is a question for Squires. Interestingly, the audio found at the Daily Press (Squire's newspaper) website cuts out the snicker. But the audio at  http://www.realclearpolitics.com/video/2009/06/10/rev_wright_them_jews_wont_let_obama_talk_to_me.html"  (Real Clear Politics)does not cut out the snicker. David any comment?

When all of this is taken in context, Wright, arguably someone who knows B. Hussein Obama better than most, is describing him as a comrade who is in danger of losing touch. The question which should be asked is, what is Wright worried that Obama will forget? Dare we pose the question?

Today, no one doubts that Wright believes in layer upon layer of Jewish conspiracy theories of Jews running the government, controlling the Presidency, Zionists ethnically cleansing arabians from Gaza and all and all making life difficult for honest folk like himself. But what does he expect Obama to say? More importantly, what does Wright mean when he talks about Obama forgetting what he believes?

The hardest pill to swallow is when a close, personal, confident and protege, someone you placed great faith and, well, hope in, turns his back on you - shuns you. Wright is clearly bitter in a personal way. But he also expresses anxiety that his cause has been denied one of it's budding stars; at least for the time being. After all, Wright believes Obama will come back to the fold when he is a lame duck.

What beliefs, theories and conspiracies does/did Obama buy into during the height of his activity at Trinity? The vast overwhelming body of evidence would be convincing to anyone when not obscured by a political campaign and the mark of Democrat next to his name on the ballot intervening between common sense and hysteria. As APRPEH aprpeh.blogspot.com pointed out in the past, one must work very hard indeed to assemble as many antiJews as friends, advisers and colleagues as Obama assembled over the previous decades. That so many Jews not just fail, but refuse to look objectively at this fact is a sure sign of the weariness of exile, a luxury not afforded to Bibi Netanyahu and Israel who are beginning to understand with whom they now must deal.

Barack Obama - Myths, Facts, and Obfuscating (Bloggers Beware)

Is guilt by association fair? Many blogs and websites, including APRPEH ( http://aprpeh.blogspot.com/)   have made an argument that Barry Obama's true feelings towards Jews and Israel can be measured by his associations. Undeniable facts about Obama, many of them posed as questions left unanswered or not answered in a credible or believeable fashion have formed the core of the No-Bama effort. These questions remain legitimate campaign issues and concerns. Obama DID indeed maintain a 20+ year relationship as a member of TUCC in the Jeremiah Wright flock, listening to what is undeniably anti-US and antiJew rhetoric only distancing himself when his crusade for the Presidency was jeopardized.

Who are Obama's friends and associates for which he should be measured? Let's take a closer look using easy to find world wide web references.

http://www.latimes.com/news/nationworld/world/la-na-obamamideast10apr10,1,2127459,full.story.  Obama's special friend, Rashid Khalidi, former spokesman for the scumbag Yasir Arafat who held fundraisers for Obama, was honored with a speech by State Sen. Barack Obama in a 2003 going away party. Khalidi, according to the LA Times story is described as "internationally known scholar, critic of Israel and advocate for Palestinian rights.

Then there is Ali Abunimah, described in the same LA Times article as " a Palestinian rights activist in Chicago who helps run Electronic Intifada, and quoted as saying:

Abunimah quoted Obama as saying that he was sorry he wasn't talking more about the Palestinian cause, but that his primary campaign had constrained what he could say.

Now, lets add to the mix the Obama foreign policy advisors who have come and gone. I am not even sure I remember them all. Please feel free to add to the list in the comments:

Ed Lasko at American Thinker adds:
The appointment of Brzezenski elicited much dismay among supporters of Israel since Brzezinski is well known for his aggressive dislike of Israel. . He has been an ardent foe of Israel for over three decades and newspaper files are littered with his screeds against Israel. Brzezinski has publicly defended the Walt-Mearsheimer thesis that the relationship between America and Israel is based not on shared values and common threats but is the product of Jewish pressure. Brzezinski also signed a letter demanding dialogue with Hamas-a group whose charter calls for the destruction of Israel and is filled with threats to Jews around the world.

Financial support from not very friendly to Israel, George Soros can be added to the equation as well even though Obama has attempted to distance himself from the billionaire contributer. If Obama really wants to distance himself from the tens of thousands of dollars contributed through Soros connections has he offered to return any recent donations and asked Soros and his Moveon.org friends to stop supporting his campaign?

And while it is not necessarily Jewish related, how can we forget Syrian born friend Tony Rezko, former donor and fundraiser for Obama, convicted recently on corruption related charges. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tony_Rezko

Obama's relationship with terrorist and political indoctrination specialist William Ayers http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bill_Ayers and Bernadine Dorhn along with former "Weatherman" and wife Bernadine Dorhn http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bernardine_Dohrn is well documented and factual.

So what is the point of going through this exercise, re-hashing the well published reports you might ask? The Obama fans and possibly Obama campaign are behind an effort to obfuscate. See Can Obama fight Web-driven lies?

and Snap Judgment: Have you read the latest Obama e-mail? Unbelievable!

tr.v. ob·fus·cat·ed, ob·fus·cat·ing, ob·fus·cates
1. To make so confused or opaque as to be difficult to perceive or understand: "A great effort was made . . . to obscure or obfuscate the truth" Robert Conquest.
2. To render indistinct or dim; darken: The fog obfuscated the shore.
            (The Free Dictionary)

It is true that a considerable amount of email and internet garbage is floating around alleging all sorts of BS about Obama. It is also true that email based urban myth is one of the downsides of the electronic world. Our email boxes are flooded with Nigerian scam email, phishing, and urban myths begging the reader to perpetuate the falsity.

In fact, call it reverse guilt by association. It is with this understanding that the agenda of the Obama camp to label every blog post, every email, every warning about Obama as driven by crazies with a hate filled, anti-Muslim or racist agenda is underway. Some, they may say are just plain crazy. But all of them, all criticism is illegitimate (according to this strategy) because it is someone's opinion, not the truth - just another one of those "myths".

This policy must be confronted strongly and clearly. The list above is composed of undeniable fact. The effort to re-cast the past of Obama as something else, something different, something sweet and innocent is a fraud and should be called a fraud.

Obama cannot reasonably claim that he had no knowledge of the offensive, disgusting, and criminal aspects of his friends in the past as he cannot claim that he has no knowledge of or doesn't agree with the antiJew and anti-Israel opinions of his foreign policy team. If he really had no knowledge, he is the most ignorant man who has ever run for the Presidency.

Of course, some Obama staffer can just say all of this is campaign rhetoric and to take it as a grain of salt. Afterall, it IS the internet. Or readers and concerned, thoughtful Americans can expose the truth, continue writing to the newspapers, calling talk radio, writing blogs, responding to blogs and talking to their friends who may be on the fence. Freedom is not free and free speech is under assault by the Obama people, a telling foretaste of an Obama administration.
