Why No Outrage On Journalists And North Korea?

It seems i am the only one outraged over the extraction of those two journalists from North Korea.

I want to know why we negotiated with terrorists for the release of Fat Al's minions. I mean really, this was a commercial venture by Fat Al's Current TV. Yes, his investigative journalists got caught. But why do we the people have to elevate this to back channel communications by the administration, send an ex-president and a full staff compliment, pay for his secret service detail, pay for fighter escort of the "Private" jet, and all the other elements that go along with travel to an "axis of evil" country....

So now that they are released, Fat Al's probably making deals with Time to publish their story. The Oprah appearance has been booked, and what do we get for it....Nothing.

We have a mechanism by which we get "badly behaved" americans back to the states...it's called the consulates. Why was this woefully planned commercial venture given such high priority. Those journalists should have stewed a while until we got to them in their rightful order.

A New Internet Bill Guaranteed to Fail

According to CNN, Republican Congressman are looking to force ISP's into keeping records for two years for all users.

This bill is horribly designed, on more than just one level.

First, it requires copious amounts of data storage. I don't think that Congressmen recognize how much data even a small network can generate. Data storage is becoming cheaper nowadays, but it's still a huge hurdle. What data should be saved? All packets? Login information? Website caches?

Two, storage equals money. You're going to add to the operating costs of not only big companies like AT&T, Verizon et all, but you're also going to reduce the ability (as if it wasn't non-existent now anyways) of a startup company.

Three, there's a great many people who use Wi-Fi who do not have it locked down with security. Will they be held liable to keep this data as well, or will it just be for those who use it commercially? The article is unclear, and it's very likely that the average person or small company will know how to store data correctly.

Fourth, the idea that I should have to give up my identity on the net is a poor one. The Internet grants anonymity, and with that, freedom. Will some people use that freedom to try to get around laws? Most certainly. But all this bill will do is force those who wish to break the law to do a slight amount of reading on how to mask your IP, how to steal Wi-Fi addresses from unsuspecting people, or find some other workaround.

If this bill goes into place, how long until the names and data get used for reasons other than their true purpose? A week or a month?

There are some good arguments for data retention by bigger companies (and they're already doing it, to some extent) but there is no need for the majority of people to store records for two years.

OBAMA BIRTH CERTIFICATES & PROFESSORS FOR AYERS

Just a few more days to go and what will be the end of a presidential campaign that seemed to have lasted for an eternity. Today’s just a day in the life of Barack Obama who will go to Hawaii to visit his "gravely ill" and "typical white grandmother". Is that really the reason that he’s going there? Or, is it about the infamous birth certificate? For those who may or may not realize this yet, Obama may not be an American citizen. If elected, it will cause a constitutional crisis for America .

In one of my shows, I told you that Obama, when speaking at the DNC, looked into the camera and spoke to McCain asking him not to engage in character assassinations. I’m happy McCain and Palin didn’t listen. I’m happy we didn’t listen. I’m happy that David Freddoso didn’t listen. I’m happy that Stanley Kurtz and Jerry Corsi didn’t listen. I’m happy that Daniel Berg didn’t listen:

Why? Because WE HAVE A RIGHT TO KNOW.

I can read the articles about the birth certificate, contemplate whether it’s true or a falsified document or study the facts surrounding the media anointed messiah’s birthplace but I think my strongest argument would be this:

Whenever Barack Obama was attacked, from Rezko to Ayers, what did he do? He attacked back. He looked right into that camera with confident posture and spewed those rhetorical flourishes with his deep saccharine voice. He denied them. He marginalized them.

Have we seen this yet regarding the birth certificate? No. You would think that, if the issue of the birth certificate is so outlandish, why not just hold a press conference like you’ve done before (the media likes you that shouldn’t be a problem) and explain your side, condemn the allegations and produce the document? Nothing. Not even the spokes-mouths in his campaign have issued a statement.

Again, if accused the Bush administration of running a secretive White House then you’re going to LOVE the Barack Obama administration.

When I woke up this morning, I saw a news report in which a Professor of History at Hofstra University / New York , Alan Singer, promoting a petition that has been signed by over 3,000 indoctrinators, oops, educators across the USA . What is the petition? It is to stop the "smear" campaign against William Ayers, a friend of Barack Obama. You may visit that site here:

I suggest that you look at the list and find the school that you attended if it’s on there. If it is, call the Dean of your old school and tell them what a disgrace it is for an educator to sign a petition that compares John McCain to Douglas McCarthy. Remind the Dean that John McCain, not only served his country for 22 years, but he’s is probably the most moderate of ANY of the Republican candidates presented to us this year and insinuating that he’s some crazy right winger is unfair and untrue. Finally, demand that the teacher face reprimand for such poor judgment.

I spoke to the Provost of Hofstra on the phone today. I asked him if he understood just what Bill Ayers and the Weather Underground represented. Then I asked him if he’s ever heard of a man named Larry Grathwohl. He didn’t. Grathwhol was an informant for the FBI who infiltrated the Weather Underground and worked along side William Ayers. A lot of people don’t know his story. Then I described to him this testimony from Grathwohl. Watch and listen carefully:

That is what the Weather Underground was all about.

If Obama can denounce his relationship with William Ayers, Tony Rezko and other questionable financers of his campaign in a smooth saccharine fashion, just like always, why can’t he denounce the allegations about something as simple as place of birth?

Maybe because… it’s true?
