Born Alive

Joe Biden gives the O man a bad NARAL-tive

One controversy won't be quieted by Obama picking Joe Biden as V.P.. The controversy as to Obama's position on abortion and infanticide

See, in 2003, Biden supported the ban on partial birth abortion http://thehill.com/leading-the-news/sen.-biden-favored-03-abortion-ban-2007-04-18.html

The federal Born Alive Infant Protection Act passed the Senate by unanimous consent, so one presumes Biden consented http://thomas.loc.gov/cgi-bin/bdquery/z?d107:HR02175:@@@X

Biden also opposes federal funding for abortion http://www.ontheissues.org/2008/Joe_Biden_Abortion.htm

Biden's tried to straddle this one to little avail, as he gets poor marks from both pro-life and pro-abortion groups.  One thing he hasn't straddled is the idea "life begins at conception".

"I am prepared to accept my church's view. I think it's a tough one. I have to accept that on faith. That's why the late-term abortion ban, where there's clearly viability. "

Maybe he can educate Barack, or is that above his pay grade.
