Carly Fiorina

A State Of Rebellion…

…exists in America today, and I don’t think either side of the political spectrum has really registered it yet. Oh, they’re giving plenty of lip service… until they think we’re no longer paying attention, as in the past.

The exception would, of course, be those who started the startling march of events that just culminated in the largest paradigm shift in modern American political history. That would be us folks… you and I… and about fifty or sixty million or so of our closest friends.

With the exception of the west coast waste land that is California, which is a subject for another time, the American people spoke in no uncertain terms. As many as sixty five House seats have been turned over to not the GOP… though they are certainly scrambling to co-opt as many of the new Representatives as possible. The establishment GOP is aiming to twist the impressionable minds of the incoming lawmakers through the supposed right wing ‘Claremont Institute’. There’s only one problem with that. With rare exception, all of these new Representatives know just exactly how and why they got there.

The Tea Party Patriots have given them their marching orders and we are watching very carefully. They know we sent them to Washington for one reason and one reason only… to bring Constitutional sanity to America and defeat the enemies of this country, which have infested the White House and the halls of Congress for far, far too long.

The rebellion extends far beyond the mere excising of the suppurating disease that is liberalism. America spoke. If you want to see the wave of the future… there are more Republican Governors than any time since 1996… there are 800 new Conservative Republican (read Tea-Party) State legislators.

We’re positioning ourselves for the next battles which are just down the road. Everywhere in the nation, Conservatives are running in local races, making themselves heard in city councils as well as local school districts. Even here, in benighted California, Conservatism is beginning to make inroads, uphill battle though it may be. If the California elections showed us anything, it was that running as a moderate will virtually guarantee defeat… Hear that, California Republican Committee?

Maybe it’s time for a leadership change there too. Wasn’t that the bunch that brought us Arnold? Carly and Meg were both fine people. Just the wrong people in the wrong races in the wrong state. Conservatism works. It works every time a clear, articulate Conservative message is presented, which was just exactly what we did not get here in California.

It’s a brave new world out there, though not one to the Marxists’ liking. Which makes it just fine by me. Up the rebellion!

Lincoln Survives, Barely – Republican Ladies Rule California.

Blanche Lincoln barely survived a challenge by Governor Bill Halter, 52% to 48%, in her bid to win the Arkansas primary. She’s not out of the woods yet by a long shot. She still has to face Republican US Representative John Boozman in November. Actually, with Boozman polling 25 points ahead of Lincoln she has plenty to worry about. Rasmussen has him at +38 points.

Meg Whitman and husband Griffith Harsh

For good or ill, Meg Whitman is going to be the Republican candidate for Governor. This is going to be one of those moments which is going to challenge my sense of party loyalty. I don’t trust Meg Whitman. Ever since I saw a video a couple of times in which she was interviewed about her meeting Van Jones, late of the Obama administration and self-identified communist activist, while on an environmental cruise up north. She literally gushed all over herself about him. What amounted to a political endorsement was given with no investigation into Van Jones background whatsoever. She is, however, California’s best bet and I do think she can defeat “Moonbeam” Brown.

Carly Fiorina

To complete the ladies tour de force through California politics, Carly Fiorina showed surprising strength toward the end of the race and she will face Babs ‘Rocks in the Box’ Boxer. There are some predicting that Babs will carve Carly a new turkey, but I’m not so sure. She can beat Babs, but she needs to stick to principles and issues and not let the DeMarxists control the message. She has to stand up and be prepared to go toe to toe and slug it out.

Sharron Angle

Another Tea Party favorite, Sharron Angle, will face Nevada Senator Harry Reid in November. Angle shows a slight lead but had better be prepared for the worst ‘Dingy Harry’ can throw at her. In South Carolina, Nikki Haley handily defeated the opposition to win the Republican nomination for Governor. This lady is a class act. In Iowa, the Republican party has nominated former governor Terry Branstad to run against Democrat Governor Chet Culver. Come join us on the Conservative march to victory, November 2010.

Wrentham > Hollywood

Scott Brown was an obscure suburban lawyer/legislator.

Carly Fiorina was the former CEO of one of America's top corporations.

These ads--direct and authentic--are why Brown is getting sworn into the U.S. Senate tomorrow. Voters get a clear , unfiltered sense of what Brown's message is

This art house web ad, is why Fiorina probably won't get to the Senate. To the extent it conveys useful information about her opponent, it's lost in bizarre metaphors.

This is part of the reason not to recruit self-funders; they seem enamored of expensive creativity that just doesn't work, like this nonsense from Ned Lamont in 2006.

We need a lot more Wrentham in our 2010 campaigns and a whole lot less Hollywood.
