House Of Cards On Shifting Sand.

Who would have thought two years ago that we would be looking back on Bush’s, and even Clinton’s, administrations with nostalgia when confronted by the immense wasteland of Barack Obama’s tortured socialist economic policies.

The President doesn’t give a flying damn about the people of this country, or the country itself for that matter. Barack Hussein Obama doesn’t much like this country any how… and it shows. It shows in his contempt for American traditions and the contempt he holds for our values. His willingness to prostrate himself shamefully before this country’s enemies hasn’t gone unmarked by the citizenry and most of us really resent his groveling denigration of our country. Around the Obama White House these days, enemies are treated far better than friends.

It’s clear to me that Barack Obama is an anti-semite. It’s all that can explain the egregious treatment of an ally and a country that an overwhelming majority of Americans support… Israel. Thank God for that tiny country with the heart of a giant. Obama has first of all, as he does with everything, lied to Israel. Lied, cajoled, bullied, threatened, and aligned himself with some of Israel’s, and our, enemies in the process. Israel has stood firm in the face of all the diplomatic firestorm spouting Lord Obama’s wishes.

Demanding that a sovereign country do things directly injurious to her own security and the maintenance of defensible borders is an act of craven cowardice by Obama. Obama is scared to death something will actually start in the middle east. He’ll lose whatever thin cover his international jaunts and summits gain him politically, both at home and away. The stuff of his policies will peel away revealing themselves in all their ugliness.

Things are not well out there for poor Barry. Uh thanks, Barry. Isn’t that what you said we should do, Barry? Say thanks to the guy who is ensuring the destruction of our country? Now what do you intend to do about it? November is now only six months and change down the road. It is time for every single one of us to become active in our communities and our precincts. If your local Republican party headquarters doesn’t have any, you supply the excitement and energy.

Find out who your local Conservative candidate is and support them. Emails to our Senators, thanking them for their courage and stubborn resistance would be a good idea… they need our input. This is our government and we’re taking it back.

Republicans In The Senate Have Work Cut Out.

Senate Republicans, present us with a unified party message prepared to lead… and you’ll have to prove yourselves out here in Patriotville. You’ll have to be ready to fight for every inch of political ground and not give an inch to the opposition. It is time to present a unified party.

Tell the local and national parties that we will not tolerate RINOs any longer… no more Lindsey Graham or John McCain sell outs. Tell the Susan Collins and Olympia Snowes that we won’t tolerate what you did to our party, or what you did to the country in your political arrogance.

The Message: We have to control the message. All too often the conservative point of view has been white noise against the clamor of main stream statist media. That’s changed, the conservative internet is getting the message out quickly and countering the leftist agitprop, so it’s a lot tougher for them to establish control over a subject and own it before we get to the party. The left will lie, fake or invent… we can only answer with truth and principle. Conservative principles always work when they’re followed.

That’s another part of the equation for Republican Senators, they have to be prepared to engage the left at a moment’s notice to ensure that the story doesn’t get buried and to counter the leftist lies. That’s how the left has operated for decades. We Conservatives let them take the message from us. We’ll have to take a page or two from their book. We can leave the stuff on lying, cheating and fraud behind.

The grass roots patriot movement, the ‘tea-partiers’, have made all the difference. They’ve made it possible for you, the Senate, to have impact now, as well as November when an increasing number of prognosticators are calling for a Republican tsunami that will sweep up both Houses. You folks in the Senate have to do everything possible to stop, suspend, detour or s-l-o-w down every single thing you can. You’re running what amounts to gorilla legislation, or maybe non-legislation, buying some time until the cavalry arrives in November.

In the meantime we’ll continue to organize in our neighborhoods and towns. The citizen march is underway. Never before in my lifetime have I seen a more intelligent, engaged and well-informed citizenry. We support our conservative candidates!

Run, Haley, Run!

by Orthovector

President Obama and the congressional Democrats are busily, almost frantically, sewing the seeds of a future devastating defeat.  An ‘earthquake’ to borrow Peter Ferrara’s term

The country is waking up to reality and getting over its infatuation with The One.  The inherent contradictions in his argument that we must spend trillions in order to balance the budget are now apparent to the slowest voter.  The silliness of his foreign policy initiatives in Moscow and Cairo are becoming an embarrassment to all.  People are starting not to trust this president, who is so good at explaining how he is not really doing whatever it is that he really is doing.

Henry Waxman pursues the socialization of medical care like a man possessed by the knowledge that this is his last, best chance, and on that he’s probably right.  Defense is being cut and suicidal energy policies are being pushed.  Meanwhile vast sums are being spent on propaganda to support these flower child (to quote Peter Ferrara again) programs.  Are these acts, however dangerous in the short run, born of desperation?

Call me crazy but I’m encouraged.

However, in order for these seeds of destruction to germinate in the near term they require lots of watering and fertilizing.  That has to be done by Republicans that people will listen to and take seriously.  Here we have a problem.

Palin, I have to say, is indeed a train wreck.  She just doesn’t have it to lead this party.  Enough said.

Ensign and Sanford are men without chests.  Romney has no credibility on health care, since his own little creation is fast bankrupting Massachusetts.  Mitch Daniels (a personal favorite) steadfastly rules out a presidential run.

Let me offer up for your consideration another option: Haley Barbour.

Barbour is probably the smartest, most astute Republican politician today, possibly excepting New Gingrich, who has anything approaching national stature.  His resumé is impressive, if also a little problematic.  Former chairman of the Republican National Committee, he had much to do, along with New Gingrich, with developing the Contract With America and with ‘nationalizing’ the mid-term Congressional elections of 1994, which resulted in a major Republican triumph.

He played a major role in the 2000 campaign of George W. Bush.  After that, he came home to Mississippi where he has been the best governor the state has known at least since the Civil War, and probably ever.  Best known for his highly competent handling of the Katrina disaster, he also was responsible for the second wave of tort reform that ended completely Mississippi’s once-deserved reputation as the trial lawyer’s dream.

In recent interviews he has demonstrated an insightful understanding of domestic and international issues, plus a master strategist’s appreciation of the condition of the Republican Party, and the Democratic Party.

Weighing him down is his stint as the head of Big Tobacco’s principal lobbying firm.  Also, as governor he resisted for much too long and without a plausible explanation the raising of the cigarette tax, leaving him open to obvious accusations.  There is also a rumored problem with drinking.  Finally, as he says, fat boys from the South don’t get elected President.

Nevertheless, although he offers innocent reasons he has made trips to Iowa and New Hampshire in recent months.  That might be, as he says, related to his position as head of the Republican governors.  Still, Iowa and New Hampshire?

So there, in this season of mourning and healing for Republicans: a possible ray of sunshine from Yazoo City, Mississippi.  And if you don't choose to run, please, Haley, help us find a decent candidate.  Please!

Conservative Candidates Can Not Wait

John McCain is correct . . .

We have entered a critical phase of the campaign season.  Senator Obama and his liberal friends have pulled out all the stops in their cynical campaign of distortions and outright lies, and with the help of their special interest allies are continuing to raise staggering amounts of money.

Collectively the Obama campaign and their cohorts have turned their full attention- and their massive war chest - toward defeating conservative candidates up and down the ticket.

They have begun their assaults against conservatives in earnest, and we must immediately respond.

To battle back against their barrage of media attacks the McCain Camp has authorized and approved their own media advertising in every key battleground state from coast to coast.  These ads have started running and tell the true story of McCain service, his leadership, and hopefully introduce many undecided voters to the bold solutions he will bring to the White House.  We have done the same in selecting conservative candidates.

Purchasing media time is extraordinarily expensive . . . and it will draw down heavily on our financial resources.  But we have no other choice.  Liberals are outspending conservatives at an alarming rate . . . especially in congressional races.

So please click here to rush conservative candidates an emergency media contribution of $20 or $50

There is not a moment to waste!

Folks we are counting on our closest friends, men and women like you , who have remained by our side throughout this rough and tumble campaign season to stand by conservatives once again at this critical juncture.  The scale is much larger and the stakes are as high as ever.  We have to focus on all of our conservative brothers and sisters across the Nation.

We will run respectful campaigns - but will not shy away from fairly showing voters the clear differences between our vision for our nation's future and that of the liberals . . . and the differences could not be more stark.

Our vision for a better America calls for strong economic growth policies, including tax cuts, free and fair trade and energy independence.  These pro-growth policies will help create jobs, increase wages and make our economy more secure.

The liberal rhetoric speaks glowingly of new jobs, opportunities and economic growth.  But the specifics of their plans call for massive tax hikes, strangling regulations and more government control of the economy.  This is a recipe for grinding our economy to a halt, not growing it.

Our vision for America in the world is one of strength and clear purpose.  We must strengthen and improve our military force that is already second to none.  We must complete our mission in Iraq with victory by establishing a stable, democratic government.  We must continue to press al Qaeda and disrupt terrorist networks.  We must establish a League of Democracies that will work with us to apply pressure to promote peace, stop genocide and improve human rights throughout this world.

The liberals vision of America's role in the world is dangerously naive.  They have promised to retreat from Iraq without fully considering the risks.  They have advocated negotiating with rogue dictators without preconditions.  And they have promised to abrogate trade agreements and turn their back on vital allies and trading partners.

The American people deserve more.  We need a President who has a record of change versus merely rhetoric of change.  We need a President whose judgment is proven and who is ready to be commander in chief on day one.  We need strong conservatives who share our core beliefs across the nation to be shown our full support.

You can be sure Barack Obama and his liberal allies will do everything in their power to muddy the waters, distort our records and distract voters with baseless claims.  They will hit hard - and they will hit fast.  We will take the blows - but we must be able to fight back quickly with strength and the truth.

That is why our media campaigns for conservatives are so critically important.  Our ads will clearly delineate the sharp contrasts between liberals and us.  We simply must have the financial resources to fully implement our media campaigns - and your immediate contribution is essential.

Running TV ads in states from Pennsylvania to New Mexico is extremely costly.  A 30 second national ad on The O'Reilly Factor costs $25,000.  So it takes 500 supporters each giving $50. to run just that one ad!

Friends, we must raise millions to keep our media campaigns running.  And to do that we need you to make a contribution of $10 or even $50 today!

Our campaigns have been called futile, yet we have succeeded despite being under funded and practically written off.  All is not lost for conservatives!  We must have perseverance and faith that the voters will continue to listen to our message and cast their ballot for experienced leadership and a renewed sense of optimism for America as well as the core beliefs that made America the greatest nation in the world.

We've been through this before.  We are running against better funded opponents, but we have the RIGHT message and the RIGHT vision.  If we continue to hold strong and stand together, we will win.
