" Well, certainly John McCain is incrementally better than Barack Obama, including on the kind of social issues that my friend Mike Huckabee, by the way, if he were running, I wouldn't be sitting here, I'd be championing Mike Huckabee. But as a Republican, I've been terribly disappointed. We've had these promises from John McCain and George W. Bush before, and they didn't deliver. They took conservatives for granted and went along with K Street. I'm tired of being taken for granted. I'm tired of the family farmers and the ordinary working people of this country, by the way, getting stiffed - and particularly the people born in this country getting stiffed. That's why I think we finally have got to take a break and get out there and get back to the grassroots level, get out of the Wall Street suites and back into the streets of ordinary people and build a new politics. And I hope this ends up in the Republican Party, but if we don't take that break now, we're going to be right back in 2012 waiting for the same thing. "
Note: some names have been changed to protect those who weren't innocent, just very, very naive.
