State Department

It’s going to be a tough act to follow… selling out our strongest and best ally in all of the world. Now, Obama has proclaimed loudly that “No, no, you guys got it all wrong… I didn’t say what I said, even though the entire world heard me say it”.

Once again, I’m amazed at the incoherence of the Obama White House. I think the Muslims in his government have encouraged and influenced him in this most boneheaded move of all foreign policy boondoggles… though it should suit the banana slugs over at State just fine. Antisemitism is the mothers milk of their warped minds, and has been ever since the US State Department refused entry to a ship full of Jewish refugees fleeing Hitler’s SS and the holocaust. Those people were returned to Europe. To their deaths.

The attitude at Smoggy Bottom hasn’t changed since… it’s long since time for someone to clean that agency out. It would be inexcusable if they were good at what their job is supposed to be… but they’re not. Their philosophy cozies right up to Lord Obama The Inept’s, though… they never saw a ‘Palestinian’ whose posterior they would not firmly attach their lips to.

I think this country has had about all it cares to stomach of The Inept’s Muslim outreach. As a matter of fact, there is going to come a time when the Muslims in this country are going to have to fish or cut bait. America’s tolerance for Islamic infiltration of our schools, our childrens’ curriculum, our financial institutions and our governments will attenuate very quickly as soon as we have a Constitutional government worth the name. The sedition and treason laws need to be brought out of obscurity and enforced across the board.

Obama’s like the snake in the high grass around camp… you can’t take your eye off him for an instant.

The state of the State Department can be best described as useless, in any practical sense. ‘Foggy Bottom’ pretty aptly describes the decision making process in our State Department.

I really hope that Hillary keeps to her stated intention not to run for president in 2012. She’d have a pretty rough time defending her performance as Secretary of State. Garbage in… garbage out. But then, Foggy Bottom is a garbage pit.

Its ‘new mission statement’ reeks of weakness and accommodation. It sounds like Obama and his spectacularly inept and naive prosecution of this nation’s foreign interests. Like the government of its leader, our State Department doesn’t work. No surprises there, but it hasn’t been serving the purposes for which it was created and instead has become an instrument for advancing the progressive agenda of its masters.

It’s not that there are not some good people at State, but they are far overshadowed by the politically inspired hacks and toadies. Democrat administrations have no problem getting the fogs to implement the wishes of their masters. A Republican administration would receive no such dispensation or cooperation from the denizens of murky places. As has been noted by previous Republican administrations, cooperation in the implementation of policy was grudging at best, and if it was something the left was against… good luck at getting anything through.

Our State Department needs a thorough cleaning and examination of its role in the security picture of a nation at war.

Correction to article of Mon 12/21: I incorrectly stated that Americans were barred from travel in Pakistan in 1981. The State Department warned Americans that travel in Pakistan could be dangerous. Pakistan at that time was issuing 30 day visas. I have been unable to determine what national passport Barack Obama was traveling under, although it has been established that he was then living with his maternal grandmother and her husband in Hawaii at the time.

President Barack Obama’s approach to nuclear policy is akin to a ride on Disney’s  “It’s a small world”. It’s pretty and fuzzy, but IT AIN’T REAL. We started with Barry’s outreach program to Islamic fundamentalist nutcakes which netted him nothing and us less than nothing, unless you wish to count the encouragement, aid and comfort he has extended our enemies while they not quite laughed in his face. The problem with his approach is that other REAL MEN, our men, will have to die for it. Barry Hussein is in way, way over his head. Our never too rock steady and problematic State Department is only too happy to take The Anointed One’s lead and accommodate and kowtow their way in his wake, since that department is rife with anti-American types anyway.

I’m sorry for all you Hillarophiles out there but she just doesn’t impress anyone. Obama runs around the world saying nothing and gaining nothing, while giving away policy and strategy advantage every time he looks cross-eyed down his nose at a teleprompter. She runs around promising to throw our money at people who hate us while trying to talk tough. That ain’t working either.

Meanwhile, REAL BAD GUYS with REAL BAD weapons are taking his measure and finding him wanting. More real bad guys who WANT those real bad weapons are also finding him to be a push over. Guys like these can SMELL weakness and are ready to pounce on it any time they think they can get away with it. Barry’s stated aim of UNILATERAL nuclear disarmament/reduction is naïveté carried to psychotic levels. Barry may be looking for a nuclear legacy to go along with the destruction of the US economy and the enslavement of its people to a socio-Marxist ideology, but all he’s likely to get us is a vast smoking crater somewhere.

While Barry is busy running off at the mouth, our enemies are out in the hall doing push-ups and the American people will have to pay the price. That’s how it is in the real world, Mr Obama. God willing, we don’t have to pay the price before we can be rid of you in 2012.

We need to engage in these Senate races, and every seat matters. Here's the latest from Colorado. -Patrick

Even as he trails in the polls, Colorado's Republican U.S. Senate candidate Bob Schaffer gets no breaks. A story in this week's Grand Junction Sentinel claiming Schaffer was engaged in wrongdoing by violating an unwritten State Department policy when he traveled in his role as an energy executive to discuss an oil development deal with the Kurdistan Regional Government.

But more facts have come forward in this case that demonstrate:

1. State Department officials gave Schaffer's employer the private go-ahead, and

2. Two Democrat operatives are posing as objective experts to keep the smear going against Schaffer.

Read the facts that seriously question the substance and the motives of this latest attack on Bob Schaffer over at the Schaffer v Udall blog.

Rather than letting the old media's carelessness be an excuse, the new media needs to pick it up a notch to help Schaffer's campaign engage with voters and overcome these bumps in the road that are getting far more play than they deserve.

The Republican is still the underdog but has a very real chance to win here in Colorado, especially insofar as an issue can continue to be made of the impact of Mark Udall's radical environmentalism on consumers at the pump, and the gross distortions about Udall's foreign policy record can be exposed.
