Is Obama tanking?

It may be too good to be true, but that's the impression I got from two state polls released. In Massachusetts, Obama is down to 58-42% approval compared to an election day win of 62%-36% (Rassmussen). In Colorado, Obama has a net approval of 49%-45% compared to 54%-45% on election day (PPP). Rasmussen's tracking poll also tightened slightly to 54%-45%.

On the other hand Gallup shows Obama's approval largey unchanged at 63%, so it could be a statistical blip.

The trend is definitely downward...

...and he's already got a third of the country strongly disapproving of his performance.

And nothing has really gone wrong yet.

Let this guy get hit with a good foreign-policy crisis that isn't easy like the thing with the pirates, and his popularity will lose a leg in a major way.

Conservative's fav poll

You guys love citing Rasmussen's poll, which is the only poll showing those numbers. He uses a likely voter model, which nobody else does right now. But 54% is just fine if using likely voters.

Desperately hoping that fluctuations in polls mean anything is desperate. A few points up or down mean nothing, conservatives aren't making any headway.
