Our pitiful President-elect

in

Our empty-suit president-elect's reaction to the Blago scandal reveals a lot about what were going to see for the next four years: total indecision.

He waited until day 2 to issue a no-brainer call for resignation. Then he denied ever having spoken to him even though Axelrod said he did. Whereupon they said Axelrod "misspoke". I guess this means whenever his future press secretary gives completely contradictory information, we will be told that he "misspoke" as well.

Then on Thursday Obama says he'll disclose his staffs contacts with Blago. We still haven't heard anything from the campaign. Now we hear things like: "Asked to voluntarily release copies of any written correspondence between Obama aides and Blagojevich, the Obama aide said that – if there were any such correspondence – the Obama team would determine whether to release it after the review was concluded." I wonder if this is how he'll handle questions on how he can afford his half-trillion spending spree. (Oh, I forgot. He already did that.)

And if he's so certain that his staff wasn't involved in "deal-making" why does he have to spend all this time gathering the facts?

I don't think he has anything to hide, but gosh he sure seems to want everyone to think he does.

God...

You are an idiot.  Of course he waited, innocent until proven guilty, this is still America no matter what Bush tried to do to it.

what was Karl Rove charged with

when all the liberals demanded he be "frog marched" into the courthouse?

The Left is still demanding a "Truth Commission" to do a witch hunt on everyone associated with the War on Terror in the Bush Adminstration.

Perhaps you folks ought to get your talking points in order. Presumption of Innocence went out of fashion as soon as Bubba left office.

karl rove

pretty much everyone recognizes much of the bush administration personnel as sycophantic lunatics who pray to the neocon gods...investigation after investigation into the fraud and deceit of the administration has been occuring, todays nytimes just wrote about the massive pentagon fraud associated with rebuilding iraq

i am not saying that democrats are squeeky clean...its not about us versus them, we should be able to look in the mirror and accept our faults...our republican leaders have either been incompetent, corrupt, or both...we need capable leaders, this isnt about left versus right...quit listening to rush

sheep-dipped liberal koolaid drinker alert

" todays nytimes just wrote about" - well there's your problem right there.

Reading the nation's largest newspaper

Reading the nation's largest newspaper automatically disqualifies one from participating in a discusion? Yes, that's the attitude that we need to jumpstart the fightback.

Its about liberal failure to recognize their own subjectivity

who's disqualifying anyone? This is about recognizing reality vs trite and bogus liberal talking points.  The subject was liberal Democrat hypocritical double standard ... and lo, a liberal comes up and play the part to a tee with the stupid and hateful "pretty much everyone recognizes much of the bush administration personnel as sycophantic lunatics..." No, we dont all recognize that piffle as being even close to reality. Rahm Emmanuel is just  Karl Rove for their side but they cant ev

I grew up reading the New York Times. I get New York Times articles in our local rag every day, including the aforementioned one about Iraq. Fascinating talking point du jour but ... If you dont nor cant recognize that New York Times has an agenda-driven liberal bias, and treat it instead as some central unbaised source - you are in the swirl of liberal MSM subjectivity. That  comment was almost a self-parody of liberal obliviousness to its own subjectivity, and of course another attempt to change the subject whenever a Democrat get tweaked.

Well, what you said was

this guy reads the NYT and therefore he is a "sheep-dipped liberal koolaid drinker". I say that counts as you disqualifying him - basically, sticking your fingers in your ears and saying "nyah, nyah, I can't hear you".

I guess

He should've said "I don't recall" instead?
