Positive

--Apparent commitment not to withdraw from Iraq prematurely.

--Dedicated to a victory in Afghanistan.

Negative

--Massive stimulus unlikely to improve matters much

--A budget that leaves massive deficits for years to come

--No apparent plan to deal with Pakistan.

--Gave the implacable Chavez a propaganda opportunity.

--Lifted stem cell research bans

--Made innapropriate/unqualified appointments of Attorney General, Secretary of State, and treasury.

--Put out a bank plan that not even liberals think will work.

--Released "torture" memos/pictures in an effort to embarass the previous administration at the expense of U.S. security.

--Trying to close Gitmo.

Geithner's the only finance guy who speaks chinese and japanese. that gives him bonus qualifications.

What, you are all suddenly for Obama disrespecting the judge? the judge asked for those memos in an ongoing court case. Obama provided them. End of Story. No political motive.

  1. Because it's not big enough
  2. He was left with deficits and increased debt.
  3. In the works.
  4. Like Krushchev+Nixon, Nixon+Mao, Rumsfeld+Saddam, Reagan+Gorbachev
  5. Trying to improve life is bad?
  6. Funny. I mean really.
  7. Cuz he continued the original Paulson plan. He should listen to people besides just Geitner and Summers
  8. Only bushies and the CIA keep arguing torture works/worked. Other spy agencies, armed services, not so much.
  9. Trying to end Osama's greatest recruitment tool.

I would put opening travel to Cuba as a positive

I've got to give Obama credit there. We need to open up travel and trade with Cuba. The ball is in their court, and they are fumbling all over with their response. The Cuban government can't control the internal dialogue with open travel between here and there.
