I have no idea whether or not Obama's thirty minutes of paid propaganda will persuade any undecided swing voters. But let me just say, if after all we've heard about this election, after all the commercials, after all the news coverage, if people are going to make up their mind on the next president based on a partisan ad, then frankly they deserve him.

Do you mean that the candidate's own words about his vision for the country and the plans he has for what he will do if elected don't matter in comparison to the opinion of the elite librul media? When Sarah Palin said she want to speak directly to the voters without the filter of media, she was talking crap??

Obama buys time to avoid facing questions

Obama couldn't deal with the free-wheeling townhall format so he took a pass on McCain's invitation to take the race to the people. However, the campaign paid millions to air a thirty-minute scripted and edited informercial. What I want to know is how does this need for a script work when as president Obama would negotiate with terrorists?

The whole point of the ad was so that people who work all day and don't get a chance to pay close attention a better opportunity to view who he is.  There are still people who believe he is muslim and a marxist.  It was nothing more than trying to expose people to the biography of Obama.  It does suck that we got nothing new out of it, everything was just restated main points of the democratic platform.  Good editing, haha.

I liked the focus on voters.

I was nervous about watching this ---I thought it was going to be self-congratulatory and overly autobiographical, akin to what was aired during the convention. But I was glad to see it wasn't and I liked the focus on ordinary Americans.

It put real faces and real people instead of just talking ad-hoc about Wendy the Waitress or Phli the Bricklayer.
