Pelosi did it. Health reform passed the house 220-215 late saturday. Whatever my personal disagreements with her I have to grudgingly admit she's a decent speaker, her arm twisting in this situation is exceptional. Thank god for Harry Reid.

 John Boehner doesn't know the difference between the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence, GOP amendments to strengthen the Patriot Act failed because GOP Congressmen skipped votes in order to preen for the cameras at Michele Bachmann's tea party, more GOP Congressmen disgraced themselves with their ridiculous "I object I object I object" out of order conduct last night, and then to take the biscuit, Shadegg used an infant as a prop and talked baby talk on the floor of the House.

That last one nearly made me vomit.

Your link is to something written by Betsy McCaughey. Who is paid to do what she does by the insurance industry and who might be even more insane than Michele Bachmann. Whose ridiculous schtick was so relentlessly dismantled by Jon Stewart that I'm surprised she even has the courage to leave her apartment. Oh well, I guess some people will do anything for a fat paycheck.

is the defection of Cao (R-LA) to vote for the bill.  It wasn't long ago that conservatives were singing hosannas about Cao as the future.  I'm guessing that's no longer the case.
