Mr. and Mrs. Obama Racists

Mr. and Mrs. Obama Racists - White White White - Debra J.M. Smith - 03/24/09 www.InformingChristians.com

I guess once racism is in the blood, it is hard to purge it out, and Mr. And Mrs. Obama just keep letting it slip. You may recall when Mr. Obama spoke of "typical white" people while explaining his white grandmother's reaction to seeing some blacks on the street. Now we hear Mrs. Obama letting her uncontrolled racism slip out.She was addressing high school students, clearly wanting to sound concerned that they try to do their best. She spoke of always wanting to do her best. But she just had to slip race into the talk, saying that other girls claimed she talked "funny," like a "white" girl. Click Here

I've got a much better link for you

Try this one.

Tammy Bruce, guest host for Laura Ingram's radio show, had some harsh words for First Lady Michelle Obama.

Discussing the first lady's visit to a Washington D.C. classroom last week, Bruce incredulously recalled Obama's story about wanting to get A's in school and called out her use of a "weird, fake accent."

"That's what he's married to," Bruce said. "...You know what we've got? We've got trash in the White House. Trash is a thing that is colorblind, it can cross all eco-socionomic...categories. You can work on Wall Street, or you can work at the Wal-Mart. Trash, are people who use other people to get things, who patronize others, who consider you bitter and clingy..."

I think pretty much everyone can read your post and spot the person who has the real problems with race.

How Rude!

Very Rude!

once trailer trash, always trailer trash.

at least that's what Sagacious Hillbilly has to say -- and he's right!

It's funny, I can't exactly tell if you is pissed that he's calling you racist, which you is, or if you're pissed by what your ideological ally had to say about our good President.

When he's dead, will you celebrate?

wow, Debs. that is a reach if

wow, Debs. that is a reach if ever saw one.  It's clear you have no idea what she is talking about.  You have spent you whole entire life as a white person and you have no point of reference to living life a minority and so Michele's quote smacks of racism to you.

It must be nice living such a sheltered existence.

Well, yes, but it came from a group with the word

"Christian" in its title, so therefore it must be true.

She's In The White House! Stop the "Minority" Crap!

She's In The White House! Stop the "Minority" Crap!

????

Boy, get used to people disagreeing with you. Once you do, maybe you won't sound so bitter. I don't think it'll help with the ignorance though.

Non Sequitur Much, Debs?

Debs, just because she's the First Lady doesn't mean she has to negate all her life experiences to make you feel comfortable.

I understand it must be tremendously disorienting to come out of a majority culture and not really understand what other peoples experiences are.  You feel perhaps for the first time disempowered, angry, confused.  You want desperately to return to the safety of the world as it was before.

But life is about nothing if it is not about change. Debs, you are swimming against the current. It's okay.

You know, an ostensibly conservative site that doesn't degrade within a few weeks to yet another RedState cesspool of ad hominems and non sequiturs.

What?

Can you say that in English? Honestly, what did you say?

you're ignorant, and like WTH, you are degrading the level

of discourse by merely posting quotes from hate-sites.

translation for English-only advocates

"You know, an ostensibly conservative site that doesn't degrade within a few weeks to yet another RedState cesspool of name-calling and illogical conclusions."

This site supposedly had grand ambitions to be something better, but the toleration of partisan banality has just turned it into yet another RedState/FreeRepublic/LGF clone. Your silly diary is just one more example of that.

on a more constructive note . ..

Michelle was trying to combat reverse racism (or a perceptual ignorance) in the black community. There are occurances going pretty far back of blacks being called "oreos" - black on the outside, white on the inside. The strugle for a black identity lead to 'not being white' or not being like your oppressors. However, that has led to a perverse effect of kids 'dumbing' down the english language or not doing well in school.

So the 'race' thing didn't slip. It was intended. Michelle knows her audience, and whe was speaking specifically to it.

And being in the White House doesn't mean she is no longer black, or a minority. And as a 'christian' you are the vast majority, which has nothing to do with race. That deals with the "non sequitor" word the above post was talking about. It's in the English dictionary.

how much of 'dumbing down' the english language

is using the Authentic

African American Vernacular English?

I'm rather sick and tired of people disrespecting the English Language, in all it's variations.

c'mon

English is a mut of a language so yeah . . . what is authentic language, right? But there's a difference between using the vernacular as Mark Twain was the first to do to tell a story, and being able to effectively communicate in acceptable terms to get a job. Alot of these kids don't know the difference, or see the importance and it holds them back.

And it's also another thing to be ostrisized within the black community for speaking a certain way. And I think that's the more important point Michelle was trying to address. Whether we like it or not, there are conventions within a group that need to be followed. Be different and you will be treated differently. What works for hip hop, doens't work for the business world.

I'm rather upset that there is this "must talk like X"

to get a job. there should be some standard of interoperability, between dialects, of course -- otherwise there's nothing to be done about communication.

But if we have to live in the world as it is, yeah... it's good for people to learn how to talk in multiple dialects.

Yeah, michelle was on point and on target, and kudos for her for speaking up about a difficult issue.
