Stimulus package inadequate? DUH!!!!

Yeah, the stimulus package wasn't good enough. In a foolish attempt to garner republican support, he made the tax-cut portion far to large and didn't focus enough on infrastructure spending and jobs.

Next time, he should craft the best bill possible, and forget trying to placate obstructionist republicans.

Do you read the links you post?

On-point quote from linked article on China's stimulus:

“We think China has it right,” Chief Financial Officer Dave Burritt said in an interview. “The majority of their package is on infrastructure spending. We are seeing life there. We are seeing the turnaround. We would like to see a more robust infrastructure package in the United States.”

The GOP is critical of the U.S. stimulus package for its spending.  Yet the article quotes execs of U.S. corporations praising China's greater emphasis on infrastructure spending.   Noticably absent was any suggestion that China should have avoided stimulus spending in favor of tax and spending cuts. The execs are arguing against the GOP approach.
