Dodd on Countrywide: Wanna buy this Bridge?

Sen. Christopher Dodd admitted today that he and wife were told during their 2003 loan process with Countrywide Financial Corp. that they were being included in a special VIP program -- but the senator said he interpreted that as a benefit for being a longtime Countrywide customer -- not as special treatment because of his Senate position.

Dodd Tells Different Stories at News Conferences

His story to the Connecticut reporters was missing a significant point that emerged in the Capitol: He knew he was put in a VIP program, even if he said he didn't think it was because of his Senate position.

So, for in-state reporters, he left out the important point and admission that there was such a program, and he was a part of it, though he said it earned him no benefit.

Typical DC politician, thinks he can play the folks who vote for him as a bunch of rubes

"So what’s to make of that? There are two possibilities here.

1. Dodd is lying.....

2. Dodd is telling the truth

It could be that Dodd really didn;t know he was getting a preferential rate"

My take; If Dodd is telling the truth then he is too dumb to be running the Banking Committee

Issues like this should be

Issues like this should be properly analyzed not just a speculation or whatever. If ever he is lying, what can we do? And if he telling the truth? Then good! Let us just remember that politicians are politicians! Anyway, try online auction! Going to an actual auction seems barbaric at this point, since there are so many online auctions these days.  Some of the best auctions online are government auctions, and a great site for them is Govdeals.  Govdeals has auctions open for all kinds of federal surplus, ranging from service equipment to stuff they've seized, and there are some great deals to be had.  The lots include ambulances and fire trucks, and an operational ferry, and some of this stuff goes for cheap.  Some of it you will need some financing for – the lowest priced fire truck was about $5,000.  Still, you can get some stuff you'd need no fax payday loans to buy for cheap through auctions online on Govdeals.
