The Loyal Lapdogs
Everytime I think we learned something from Bush's failed second term and McCain's defeat, well this sort of thing happens
For Wicca' sake, could the Republican senators bend over any further?
Now I think it might well be good public policy for the Attorney General to become more distant from the agenda of the President. And Eric Holder says that's his agenda
Holder told lawmakers he did not believe the attorney general's job was to serve as the president's lawyer — a frequent criticism of Alberto Gonzales' tenure under Bush. He also vowed to see how much harm has been done to the department by political scandals.
But this is a guy who had to apologize for his role working for the last Democratic President approving pardons for tax evaders and terrorists?
Two words about this guy's declaration of intent. Yeah. Right.
If the Obama team wanted an analogue of the present Attorney General, Michael Mukasey, I would humbly suggest that Connecticut could offer such an individual, Circuit Court Justice Jose Cabranes. a man of unquestioned integrity and committment to the law. And I'd be part of Cabranes's cheering section.
But no, we get a career Democrat political hack last seen clearing Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich of corruption and who omitted this little detail on his response to the Obama transition team.
Now I expect Democrats to fall into line behind this sort of compromised candidate. But I hope I will be spared any criticism over my views from residents of South Carolina, who have set the biggest RINO of recent history to graze on the D.C. savannah.
I'm almost ready to vote for you right now," said Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., after Holder agreed with the senator that the nation is at war with terrorists.
1. Get a room. 2. Get a clue.
In whatever order suits you, Senator Graham
