Even FOX News has to bow to reality
Submitted by John Smith on Thu, 11/19/2009 - 19:05
New FOX News poll out today.
Q18. When the president of the United States is traveling overseas, do you think it is appropriate for him to bow to a foreign leader if that is the country’s custom
Yes 67%
No 26%
The right hast a serious problem. It has no ideas, no solutions to any of the problems of the day, and now its formerly useful propaganda tricks and noise machine stunts aren't working.

What's Obama's most recent job approval numbers?
since we are on the topic of polls?
Gonna bow to that THAT "reality"?
I am quite happy to report
that polls this week put it somewhere between 56% (ABC/WaPo) and 46% (FOX).
By way of comparison - Bush posted such a number for the last time in 2004!
Moving on, Obama's favorability ratings are somewhere between 61% (ABC/WaPo) and 54% (FOX). And that is after 5 months of the worst abuse the teabaggers could dream up.
Pick whichever of those two numbers you prefer and then report back to us about which national figures have higher ratings. I believe you will find the only ones are Michelle Obama and Hillary Clinton.
In comparison:
And let's not forget T-Paw. This poll was taken in MINNESOTA:
And while we are at it, favorability ratings for:
And THAT poll was by Rasmussen, so can you imagine what the reality is??
I'm sure you thought your response was clever when you typed it, but really - not so much.
Apples and Oranges, hmmmm
The Fox poll you cited has Obama at an approval rating under 50%. The fact that some lesser known Republican might be lower sorta doesn';t made up for the fact Humpty Dumpty fell off the wall. When he took office CNN had him at 84% approval. Not there now.
If you are going to lead with one poll giving an issue question you like, trying to pretend you didn;t see the major question demolished your overall case is really dumb. Like lose the case on summary judgment dumb if your tried that stunt in court. Good thing you don't need to do something that requires mental strategy where you work, like practice law.
When GW Bush dropped in this fashion, his poll numbers never made a sustained comeback. Clinton and Reagan did. And where's that roaring economic comeback that would drive those numbers?
Lawyers and Wingnuts
It took Reagan and Clinton about two years to come out of below fifty approval ratings(Gallup) in their first terms. And that was in a bad economic situation not as dire as it is now which they inherited(partly/substansively) from their previous administrations. Obama's current lower approval ratings would be arguably higher than what one can reasonably expect of any other recent former presidents' in a bad job and economy situtaion of today. See, I can also think up a hypothetical scenario and its outcome.
I will give it to you. You are the biggest blowhard of this blog. Not bad if you think about it though. You are in fine company with Orly Taitz in your day job and Ann Coulter arguing evolutionary biology in your other activities.
What well known Republican politician did I NOT mention?
My point, as you well know, is that the manufactured-outrage-of-the-week was really stupid and a sign that the bottom of the barrel is being scraped. I didn't "see the major question demolished", could you please recap for me?
Good thing you work in real estate conveyancing where you don't need to argue in front of a jury. A closing argument that consists of unfounded crowing isn't terribly convincing. Your poor command of English would also be an issue. When you reply, could you decipher "Like lose the case on summary judgment dumb if your tried that stunt in court"?
lesser known Republican? What well known Republican did I NOT mention? Who is likely to challenge in 2012 who ISN'T covered in my comment? I politely invited you to find and report any figures with better numbers, why did you not do so?
