500 in Overland Park brave cold, wind to protest stimulus, pork
Submitted by Kansas Meadowlark on Sat, 02/21/2009 - 16:37
Police estimated at least 500 braved windy, 23-degree weather in Overland Park to protest the pork in the stimulus. Liberty-minded, free-market Americans met outside of Congressman Dennis Moore's Office in Overland Park to protest his votes to waste tax dollars.
Michelle Malkin's web site first announced this event on Thursday. A stay-at-home mom, Amanda Grosserode, is organizing a grass-root movement in fiscal responsibility from Seattle to Denver to Mesa to Overland Park. Local Kansas groups like AFP and KRA alerted their members about the event. Darla Jaye on 980 KMBZ talked about the planned event last night. See the photo essay of today's event.

Puny
The Kansas city metropolitan area has about 2 million people. They are bombarded by wingnuts on radio and TV telling them to protest "porkulus" About 500 do it. More people than this show up to high school football games, and on days this cold. Pathetic.
Here is a good video to distribute on Porkulus...
It is factual and a bit fast, USE THE PAUSE BUTTON. I posted it in a couple of places so that people see it. It has a lot of things in it about the stimulus that you may not know.

only 2 days notice - still pretty good!
I don't know, I think this is pretty good for 2 days' notice spread only on websites. Did Rush Limbaugh or Sean Hannity advertise this protest on their radio shows? Seems doubtful. Kudos for the protest. I understand there are more Tea Parties coming soon. Hopefully these will get Obama's attention.
