Fantastic Job
No snark here, this is just fantastic. It very rare for a campaign to create a genuinely funny video but the McCain guys have done it. Extra chones points for throwing in the Moses footage.
Yes! Yes! Yes!
Finally - a full-throated critique of the audacity of arrogance delivered in a great add that is actually SATIRICAL. Just this morning I was wishing the McCain campaign would get out of their own angry way and let McCain be McCain - irreverent, hilarious, and accurate as a B-52 raining a payload of satire down upon the world's most precious target.
Charleton Heston is rolling on the floor laughing his ass off with Ronald Reagan in Heaven today. Heh.
Shrewd choice of tactics
Humor will puncture Obama's bubble whereas nastiness would rebound back against the attacker.
IMO the ending could have been made stronger though I don't have any suggestions. It seemed like the ad ended with a period rather than an exclamation point. Still a very good ad.
Hopefully the campaign will advocate McCain as adroitly as they're deflating Obama.
The other benefit
The other benefit with this video along with the Celeb ad, and Obama Love is that the left is panicing. They're objecting so strenuously to humor being used to point out both Obama's ego and the way supporters and the media respond to him that they're looking foolish. The pundits who are over-reacting are making it even more clear that they are in-the-bag for Obama. While this one's my favorite, I think the McCain campaign has helped itself greatly with its recent set of ads.
