But I think he would not be an effective VP pick. For one thing, he would not flip CT. http://www.quinnipiac.edu/x1296.xml?ReleaseID=1189. He might gain us a few spare votes in Broward and Palm Beach counties, but right now it looks like we will carry FL without them. It would be hard to reconcile Lieberman's record on taxes and life with the party platform, and obviously, this would not motivate conservative activists..

Lieberman as SoS.  Much better. McCain should name him as such before the convention. All of the upside of having him on the ticket, and none of the downside

We need a Secretary of State who will fire people, LOTS of people.  No offense to Lieberman but I think we need an SoS like Bolton. 

Ridge:  The danger with choosing Ridge (and I think he's an acceptable VP), from a pro-life standpoint, is that we'd be positioning him to make a run for President in 2012.
