This Site Needs Work

1.)  It doesn't feel like Web 2.0.  My user homepage is an interface scanned from a piece of napkin.  I'm far from being a web designer, but sites like Flickr and Protopage seem to be great examples of 2.0 interface.

2.)  Talk is cheap!  I wanna see candidates and issues pushed beyond the national level.  The homepage should be the first stop in promoting conservative candidates and issues.  I am tiiiirrred of punditry because all it does it highlight the infenitismal difference between Republicans when we really need to stop Left at every level.

3.)  The color of conservatism IS NOT RED!!!  Libtwats stole our blue!!!  Don't let them steal our Tory Blueeeeee!!!!

4.)  Where can people send money?  Everytime you get Republicans together in any venue, you should bring two things:  a Ronald Reagan anecdote and a collection plate.

I am indifferent to the little things that separate Republicans, all I know is that I want Democrats dead.  I want them gone.  Not in 2010, but now.  Is a Republican candidate a Ron Paul-Republican or a McCainiac?  I don't give a flying f*ck, just as long as they will beat a Democrat.

You're right

We're falling into pundit mode again..

We should generate  an Issues survey that reflects what most of us agree should be a republican's stance on the issues, then we should identify candidates to support and put our money where our mouths are.

Is TNR a PAC? Can our donations be made to GOP candidates?

The left are online powerhouses in part because they were able to identify and financially support candidates who furthered their cause.

This would be a good way to start putting aside the wedges and looking for the ties that bind.

Yep, Money

I always had the idea that all Republicans know why they are what they are and the reasons for that is varied.  God knows, I never thought I'd run into 'conservatives' who want to lose this election until I read this blog.  It's bizaare.

I don't know much about election financing.  However, in my experience, donating to Republican causes are a pain in the ass.  First, you just can't.  Rightwing websites have no concept of the "Paypal" button.  In Toryworld, "Do You Want To Donate?" sounds like a black man asking for change.  This site has one, but since it doesn't tell me the purpose of the donation right away, I'm not encouraged to click.

Second, there's no follow-up.  I send money.  What do I get?  A Thank You screen and an email confirmation.  How about directing me to any local meetups, or contribute to other candidates in my locality.  It's been a while since I received an email from the John McCain campaign even though I donated and signed up for updates.  I use to receive them during the primaries, but none since.  FOLLOWUP!

Third, conservatives work, they are busy, they keep the welfare state going.  Why then we should go through these hoops to help?  Sure, we may not have the time to volunteer, but I'm guessing the money makes sure the party hires those who can.  Donating should be as easy as shopping at Amazon.  In fact,  there should a website where it looks like Amazon where there are candidates that you shop around for done in an interface similar to Amazon.  If I'm feeling like a generous rightwinger one-day after seeing an Obama speech, there should be a one-stop website where I can 1-Click my way to any candidates.

I have more thoughts about this, but you know, work.

So why don't we just shoot them? Kill them. Kill them all.

This is exactly the kind of one-dimensional thinking the political elite hope Joe-six pack will continue to engage in during election time instead of actually looking up and understanding winning the next six elections is more important than winning the next election. The most effective learning tool ever created to educate the masses is the ballot box . It is time  for the public to go through a learning curve while we restructure the party to be the first of its kind online political party.

Maybe Death is A Strong Word

Unless your plan to win the next six election is to roll over this Novemeber while the Left destroys capitalism and Christianity until we all agree to davidfarrar's imaginary Real Conservative Agenda, then no.  I'd fight the Left because that's one of the more basic things any conservative can do.  The next election could be the 1932 or 1868 of our times.  It may set the the tone for the next three generations of politics.  And as in the case for in both eras, the losing party played little to no part in steering policy.  Fate has no patience, time has no patience, I don't have the patience to tool around while Obama and an all-Democrat Congress nationalize hospitals, increase taxes, sign Kyoto, and appoint possibly the majority of the Supreme Court.  Of course, you can always add more.  I can always add more.  I'm not going to wait for the public to magically learn that these policies are bad for them and the country, because as Detroit can show you, it doesn't matter.

I would watch the hyperbole

Suggesting that you want Democrats dead is the type of scare quote that can be used to discredit the blog.

Just so we're clear, I support the First Amendment right to be wrong, to hate America and/or to vote Democratic.  You have the right to say what you did, but you should choose words that are less likely to be used against you.

After....

the Trail of Tears, Slavery, the Civil War, Hiroshima/Nagasaki, Japanese Internment Camps, Korean War, Vietnam War, the welfare state, Jim Crow Laws and Detroit, the Democrats deserve maybe, better treatment than what they have inflicted to the people in this country and the world.  So I take back my tongue-in-cheek remarks about them.
