Palin Power

Except for Palin getting elected to public office and exposing Reudich for corruption, Newt Gingrich's claims are totally misleading.  Playing dance music to someone that can't name a single newspaper, journal or Supreme Court decision shouldn't get you excited to see her set foot in the White House. 

Experience:

Palin was mayor of Wasilla.  Wasilla had a population of 6300 during her tenure as mayor, and Palin still needed to hire a city administrator to help with the position's responsibilities, costing taxpayers another 60K/year. During the same time, Obama represented Illinois' 13th district, with a population of over 600,000 people.

-For 2 years Palin was Governor of a state with a smaller population than Barack Obama's congressional district .  Obama represented this district for 9 years (1996-2004), compared with her 2 years as Governor. 

-Palin did not play any role in the Alaska National Guard. Even the commander of the Alaska National Guard said as much. 

     "[Palin plays] no role in national defense activities, even when they involve the Alaska National Guard."    "The Alaskan governor is not in the site's chain of command and has no authority over its operations."

Gingrich's claim that Palin has less experience than Obama is completely absurd.

Maybe repeatedly mentioning her PTA experience or Alaska's proximity to Russia will convince the voting public she's ready to serve.

and what exactly did Obama do on behalf of its citizens?

By the way, we know Palin reads at least one newspaper.  Is the NY Times now part of the vast right wing conspiracy for writing about the ol' bomb thrower, Bill Ayres?
