Really I should have guessed it, you are an amateur writer...and you are amateurish; your use of © on everything you write is a giveaway. I don't think you have copyrighted them though. Even if you did, really you assume your loony blog entrys are lucrative enough for anyone to take time to steal?  What would someone do with your articles? Sell them to inferior bloggers/columnists to pass off as their own? Not likely. Another indication that you are simply paranoid.

Hey lay off skippy.  He's my favorite loon.  He meanderings are what passes as content on this site!  If you can't get anything good, then you might as well just take whatever.  So Skippy here is the typical conservative pseudointellectual who spends all his day in his underwear blogging on different sites. Precious. The more tea baggers like him out there the better.  Sooner or later he'll realize that he's just putting himself on the government watch lists.  The next time he goes into the airport he'll end up being pulled asided and questioned.  Perhaps, his internet records are being pulled right now by some faceless government bureacrat and crosschecked with his phone calls.   He'll never know for sure!  His best bet is to purchase a disposable cell phone like in the spy movies and change the card every month.  Oh and make a tin foil hat. That confuses the satelites.

I was talking to my wife about how it's just crazy to think that the U.S. is more conservative now than 20 or 30 years ago.  Just take a look at television programs.  Some of the leading programs: Heros, Glee, American Idol, Ugly Betty ---> All feature openly gay characters. Characters that would not have appeared on programs like Jerry Sinfeld or Friends.  I at least can't remember any major or even minor gay characters from those programs.   So in the conservative area of gay hating, people are more liberal than 20 years ago.  And since Skippy here would agree that the markets determine what is right or not, then obviously advertisers and the consumers they are selling to, have accepted the gay lifestyle as moderate and cool.  

Otherwise they'ld not be advertising on their shows, right Glenn Beckster? 

30-40 years ago, black on white marriage was unacceptable.  Today even in the deep inbred south,  you'ld lose your judgeship over not allowing it to happen.  So obviously conservatives have become more accepting of blacks.  About time.    Let's talk about music now.  More or less profane?  How about them movies? More or less violent?  Would they be making music and movies like they are now if people weren't more liberal?  After all conservative ideals are for regulating these industries and preventing immoral values from corrupting our kids.Case in point let's say hypothecally the president of the united states wanted to speak to school children.  Would conservatives say wow what a great role model? Or yank their kids from school in protest of the nazi-communist-socialist-antifamily-dog-kicking ideals that would be presented?

Let's talk about church attendance for a moment.  Up or down in the past 30 years?  Churchies are more conservative than non-churchies right? So if people are more conservative then why isn't church attendance up?  Are they praying at home more?  Dear God, it's me margaret! 

How about companies giving rights to domestic partners?  If society was more conservative, and domestic partnerships is a liberal thang, why would they take on the expense?

So while people may think that they are more conservative, they really aren't. What has happened is a shift from what was considered radical left wing 20-40 years ago. (Civil rights, gay rights, violence in movies, profanity in music) to simply main stream.  What is really the case is that most americans are too stupid to realize that they are closet liberals.

Obama was swept into power not by any great mandate of the people, for all the HUGE media circus that accompanied him. He barely won with 55 percent of the vote

 

Wrong...he won a much more decisive victory than G W Bush ever managed, to begin with. More votes, bigger margin of victory etc-.

 

and that only because Conservatives and Independents had deserted the Republican banner by the tens of thousands. Tired of George Bush’s big spending, big government Republican leadership, which most Conservatives saw as betrayal, many just stayed home. 

 

You are right about independents deserting McCain, but largely wrong about low conservative turnout. True, many on the Right held their noses when they voted, or showed up only because they liked Sarah Palin. But vote they did. McCain's performance in South Carolina (fertile Tea Party country, eh?) was as good an anything Bush achieved as more people actually voted there last year than in 2004. In general, Appalachia and rural poor districts -- conservative areas -- voted for McCain and Obama generally fared worse there than Bill Clinton did, in the 1996 elections. But those areas were not enough to offset the huge gains made by Obama elsewhere. He won the young vote. He won the womens vote. Latinos, blacks, the educated, city dwellers turned out in record numbers.
