Obama’s Inner Muslim Seeps Out.

‘Inner Muslim’ is a term which has increasingly been applied with regard to Barack Hussein Obama. His latest exploit into anti-Americanism, by hiding behind ‘religious tolerance’, has drawn justifiable outrage from pretty much across the board, with not a few Democrats very uncomfortable and moving towards the right.

Actions have consequences. A consequence of 9/11 is that despite the left’s concerted effort to do a ‘memory-wipe’ on the American people, it hasn’t worked. The greatest example of this historical revisionism I can recall was back on 9/11. The initial videos plainly showed people leaping out of office windows to keep from being burned alive. By the next day it was getting hard to find unscrubbed versions, and by the second week the only place the originals could be found was in the new media. Had the alphabet networks and the left-leaning cable outlets been the only available news sources, history might have been viewed differently.

9/11 is burned indelibly into our hearts and minds. It is engraved with the fire that burns in our hearts and tempered with the tears we’ve shed for our loved ones and fellow Americans who were the victims of the attacks. When confronted about the edited videos, we were told that it was for our own good. They were afraid that if the graphic images of what really went on that day were repeatedly shown, the anger of the people would force a strong response. The sanitization of the entire Muslim Islamo-Fascist connection in this country was begun in earnest.

Barack Obama has tipped his hand on the Muslim issue time and again. I think most of the country has come to the same conclusion. We were assured that he was a Christian through and through. Christianity and black liberation theology don’t have a heck of a lot in common. His ‘Muslim outreach’ is anti-American and extra-constitutional. Islam is at war with America and it will use any method available to undermine, and ultimately destroy, this country.

Barack Obama is rapidly proving himself to be as big a danger as our enemies abroad. The Cordoba project is an obscenity. Obama’s endorsement of it was blasphemous. The country is watching Obama, and waiting… Eighty days until November 2.

The day was 9-11.

All air traffic was halted...
Except for one plane. The one carrying Bin Laden's family home.
Authorized by President Bush.

Thank the scientists who caught it...

Obama belonged to a Black Church

in a White denomination. An evangelical church in a mainline denomination.

What about this screams "black liberation theology"?

Next you're gonna tell me it's a crime to be black and Lutheran...

It's now obscene to practice religious freedom?

In new york city?
Shame on you. And shame on the America that bred you, for failing to teach you to defend the First Amendment, from whence the others flow.

The Democrats in NY Doth protest too much ?

Better go yell at the Liberals in NY about this here Mosk thing. Paleo would have us believe that this is a different kind of Imam, an Islamic blue algae strain unrelate to Obama's version of Islamic extremists.

What we need is another Democrat like FDR to lock up all the Japanese speaking Muslims.

  Knackers, go easy on

Knackers, go easy on Skippy. He is just being himself; a well defined partisan nut who mayn't be a bigot but is clearly dumb.

Congrats, Skip! You earned your Junior Jihadist merit badge!

Bin Laden will happily present it at the next meeting.  He never turns away another recruit, and he's especially happy to have nit-wits like you demonstrate to the world that American constitutional rights and values are nothing but hot air.

President Bush famously said, "They hate us for our freedoms."  So Skip and his piss-stained fellow travelers have a plan:  take away our freedoms!  Then they won't have to hate us!

Psst, Skip, time to wet those pants again: there's been a Muslim prayer room inside the Pentagon since 2001.  From Salon (http://www.salon.com/news/politics/war_room/2010/08/05/muslims_infiltrate_pentagon):

Navy imam Chaplain Abuhena M. Saifulislam lifted his voice to God as he called to prayer more than 100 Department of Defense employees Monday at a celebration of Ramadan at the Pentagon.

God is most great, sang the lieutenant commander and Islamic leader, in Arabic, as iftar — the end of the daily fast began.

Uniformed military personnel, civilians and family members faced Mecca and knelt on adorned prayer rugs chanting their prayers in quiet invocation to Allah.

The "ground zero mosque" story seems to be dying down, but nothing lays bare the absurdity of what we've just lived through quite so much as this Washington Times story, quoted above, from 2007.

Yes, Muslims have infiltrated the Pentagon for their nefarious, prayerful purposes -- daring to practice their religion inside the building where 184 people died on Sept. 11, 2001. They haven't even had the sensitivity to move two blocks, let alone a mile, away from that sacred site.

The "desecration" began shockingly soon after the attacks. Cox reported in October 2001:

Army Chaplain Abdul-Rasheed Muhammad, the first Muslim chaplain to serve in the military, read a verse from the Koran at the memorial service at the Pentagon on Thursday, exactly one month after the attack. Muhammad, who became a chaplain eight years ago and works at Walter Reed Medical Center in Washington, ministered to rescuers in front of the smoldering Pentagon after the attack.

Any guesses as to why no one has ever heard about Muslims praying at the Pentagon -- let alone cared? It's almost as if the entire "ground zero mosque" controversy was whipped up out of nothing by a right-wing tabloid and politicians in search of a wedge issue ...

Acinphx, Its the particular Imam that is building the Mosk

The "Hamas is not a terror Organization" Imam. As for praying in the Pentagon, the Muslims were doing it in the Pentagon before the Plane hit on 911.

Its not like building something new onsite at the Pentagon to commemorate the location where the nose of the plane contacted the building. (E.G., landing gear) Its also a small price to pay for the Imam......he can build it anywhere else in America.

Location location location.

Sufi

The man's a sufi; ie a dervish.

You can familiarize yourself with the sect by reading the works of Idries Shah.

This isn't your average muslim here.

Secondly, it's a community center that has a prayer room.  Not a huge temple-- one room.

Which comes back to the point of which party do you prefer to be untruthful in running the government-- Do you prefer an untruthful Democrat, or a Republican that lies through his teeth?

And that's really at the base of the "Mosque at Ground Zero" story.  The real story is that the Right loves to misinterpret the facts, confuse the issue, and other wise lie about things-- they are not to be trusted.

A community center in a dusty NYC alley a few blocks away,

run by a guy who spoke at Daniel Pearl's funeral.

Quoting Jeff Goldberg at the new atlantic:

In 2003, Imam Rauf was invited to speak at a memorial service for Daniel Pearl, the journalist murdered by Islamist terrorists in Pakistan. The service was held at B'nai Jeshurun, a prominent synagogue in Manhattan, and in the audience was Judea Pearl, Daniel Pearl's father. In his remarks, Rauf identified absolutely with Pearl, and identified himself absolutely with the ethical tradition of Judaism. "I am a Jew," he said.

That any Muslim imam who stands before a Jewish congregation and says, "I am a Jew," is placing his life in danger. Remember, Islamists hate the people they consider apostates even more than they hate Christians and Jews. In other words, the man many commentators on the right assert is a terrorist-sympathizer placed himself in mortal peril in order to identify himself with Christians and Jews, and specifically with the most famous Jewish victim of Islamism.

I had this written into a post at one time

... and so the text is still available electronically.  Not blockquoted due to length.

The Story of Tea

In ancient times, tea was not known outside China. Rumours of its existence had reached the wise and the unwise of other countries, and each tried to find out what it was in accordance with what he wanted or what he thought it should be.

The King of Inja (‘here’) sent an embassy to China, and they were given tea by the Chinese Emperor. But, since they saw that the peasants drank it too, they concluded that it was not fit for their royal master: and, furthermore, that the Chinese Emperor was trying to deceive them, passing off some other substance for the celestial drink.

The greatest philosopher of Anja (‘there’) collected all the information he could about tea, and concluded that it must be a substance which existed but rarely, and was of another order than anything then known. For was it not referred to as being a herb, a water, green, black, sometimes bitter, sometimes sweet?

In the countries of Koshish and Bebinem, for centuries the people tested all the herbs they could find. Many were poisoned, all were disappointed. For nobody had brought the tea-plant to their lands, and thus they could not find it. They also drank all the liquids which they could find, but to no avail.

In the territory of Mazhab (‘Sectarianism’) a small bag of tea was carried in procession before the people as they went on their religious observances. Nobody thought of tasting it: indeed, nobody knew how. All were convinced that the tea itself had a magical quality. A wise man said: ‘Pour upon it boiling water, ye ignorant ones!’ They hanged him and nailed him up, because to do this, according to their belief, would mean the destruction of their tea. This showed that he was an enemy of their religion.

Before he died, he told his secret to a few, and they managed to obtain some tea and drink it secretly. When anyone said: ‘What are you doing?’ they answered: ‘It is but medicine which we take for a certain disease.’

And so it was throughout the world. Tea had actually been seen growing by some, who did not recognize it. It had been given to others to drink, but they thought it the beverage of the common people. It had been in the possession of others, and they worshipped it. Outside China, only a few people actually drank it, and those covertly.

Then came a man of knowledge, who said to the merchants of tea, and to others: ‘He who tastes, knows. He who tastes not, knows not. Instead of talking about the celestial beverage, say nothing, but offer it at your banquets. Those who like it will ask for more. Those who do not, will show that they are not fitted to be tea-drinkers. Close the shop of argument and mystery. Open the teahouse of experience.’

The tea was brought from one stage to another along the Silk Road, and whenever a merchant carrying jade or gems or silk would pause to rest, he would make tea, and offer it to such people as were near him, whether they were aware of the repute of tea or not. This was the beginning of the Chaikhanas, the teahouses which were estaclished all the way from Peking to Bokhara and Samarkand. And those who tasted, knew.

At first, mark well, it was only the great and pretended men of wisdom who sought the celestial drink and who also exclaimed: ‘But this is only dried leaves!’ or: ‘Why do you boil water, stranger, when all I want is the celestial drink?’, or yet again: ‘How do I know what this is? Prove it to me. Besides the colour of the liquid not golden, but ochre!’

When the truth was known, and when the tea was brought for all who would taste, the roles were reversed, and the only people who said things like the great and intelligent had said were the absolute fools. And such is the case to this day.

————§————

Drinks of all kinds have been used by almost all peoples as allegories connected with the search for higher knowledge....

Although the Sufis and others often clearly state that ‘magical drinks’ (wine, the water of life) are an analogy of a certain experience, literalist students tend to believe that the origin of these myths dates from the discovery of some hallucinogenic or inebrietive quality in potations. According to the dervishes, such an idea is a reflection of the investigator’s incapacity to understand that they are speaking in parallels.

This tale is from the teachings of Master Hamadani (died 1140) teacher of the great Yasavi of Turkestan.

missing the point?

I do not hear anyone saying they can't build the mosque...just not so close to Ground Zero.  Why is that such a dificult thing to understand?  I do not believe the GZ mosque has anything to do with the First Amendment.  There are already 100+ mosques in NY so religous tolerance doesn't seem to be the issue.  Rather, I see it as a question of sensitivity.  Islam claims it's a peaceful religion that is sensitive and tolerant to other religions yet demonstrates time and again it is not (death to infidels comes to mind).  The Imam Rauf must know that even if he and his followers do not not see the mosque as a symbol of victory over America (or the Great Satan as we are known by the radicals), there are those here in America and overseas that would...and would cheer it just as they did the decapitated or burning bodies of our soldiers and citizens.  Your thoughts...do you think announcing a relocation as offered by the state of NY or building the mosque would do more to bring people together?

If we are to regulate the location of anything (strip clubs, landfills, religous centers, sports stadiums, etc.)...do regulate all or none...or do we apply historical experience, money, personal feelings, and ideaology to determine what, where, and when.  Where do we draw the line.  I see arguements on blogs that constantly defend/attack ideaology wihtout the objectiveness to admit our side may be wrong.

A simple anlogy...how many of you have children and would allow them to associate with known drug users or criminals?  Yet, we allow people who we know to have unscrupulous, highly questionable, or criminal associations to call the shots and make the decisions,  Democrat or Republican...Christain or Muslim...Black or White...it shouldn't matter.  Right and  wrong driven by our morale compass should be our objective.  The hardest thing we ever do in life is the right thing...when no one is looking.  Pehaps THAT is the true test of character.

Howdy from the Great Satan!

(that's daily kos, according to Bill O'reilley!).
It's not nearby the WTC complex. It's blocks away... Do they need to build off of bloody manhattan island?

Islam has a better track record of not spilling Jewish blood than Christians do. Hell, they've got a better track record of not spilling Christian blood than Christians do -- see the crusades if you don't believe me.

If you want to bitch about the mosque, why not bitch about the Islamic prayer center in the Pentagon. or the already built mosque nearby the WTC complex?

I'd allow my children to associate with drug users and criminals. They deserve to learn the hard way.

The test of your fucking character is to see peaceful muslims building in America's greatest city, and to celebrate it just as much as the Statue of Liberty does.

I will not back down from their right to build this. I will celebrate their right to freedom of speech.

Because... my relatives died for it. Just like they fought to keep religion out of public schools, so that Muslims in America can feel accepted, just like Jews and Hindus and Mormons.

Yes, some shmuck is gonna celebrate his "victory" over our culture. That bastard doesn't understand our culture very well.

[sure someone's celebrating the communist party of america, too. what the hell do I care?]

America is stronger than they are, and our strength comes from our diversity, from welcoming immigrants, whatever their creed.

Make that "Welcome Legal Immigrants" to America

Your relatives didn't die for Mexican Nationals to walk in and get Free Amercian dollars for their dependants, education, welfare checks, etc.....they died for Sovereignty among other things.

They also died to keep Criminals from running over the border to Rob, loot, kill, etc.....

Didn't the road to serfdom stall

Didn't the road to serfdom stall when immigration laws were relaxed in the 1960s?

During the immigration pause of the mid-20th century, people thought of the welfare state as "they earn it, you take it." One immigration laws were relaxed, the voters started thinking of the welfare state as "you earn it, they take it." Support for it declined.
