Value Added… The Final Blow.
President Barack Hussein Obama has stopped flirting with the possibility of a value added tax. He has all but announced his intention to pursue the issue. He’s sure to find a firestorm of resistance waiting for him.
Obama and Paul Volcker - together they have discussed VAT.
Seems like the Congressional Republicans are getting much better at this guerrilla legislation thing. Good thing for them too. The loom of November throws shadows for some Republicans too. There’s still resentment out here regarding the establishment Republicans and what the grass roots saw as a betrayal of the trust we placed in them. That same ‘grassroots’, whether you call it the Tea Parties or the Patriot Movement, is a walk down main street America. It’s all walks of life, it’s Mr. and Mrs. Everyone.
That’s what it’s come down to… it’s us or them. Most complex problems have simple solutions, this one is as simple as it can get. We simply have to take the House and Senate back in November. Failure is not an option.
The Value Added Tax has reduced most of Europe to perpetual economic mediocrity. With economies struggling under the burden of socialist regulatory bureaucracies, the value added tax was enough to keep Europe’s economies from being competitive… it stifled job creation and entrepreneurism. It created a permanent sub-class of social welfare dependent families, because there were no jobs!
The socialists of Europe are a classic example of the failure of socialism, every one of these workers’ paradises grinds their people underfoot with crushing taxes on every level. It’s something that Obama wants here… it’s the only way he can begin to pay the almost incalculable debt he has created for this country and its citizens to deal with.
I think that the DeMarxist left has overreached itself badly this time. This battle is not Republicans versus Democrats. It’s between the DeMarxists and the American People.

I saw a spot about this on FOX
I think it was either O'Reilly (who I like) or Hannity (who I don't like).
Anyway, they were crying about how a national sales tax would unfairly fall on the lower income earners. And I thought, What a tool! Just a few days ago you were crying about raising the nominal rate for the top tiers of income, and now you want to whine about the low end of the scale.
I say, to hell with them. Let's get a 2% national sales tax. Let's raise the two top tiers by 2%. And eliminate all refundable credits. Maybe even eliminate all forms of deductions completely.
Somebody's got to pay taxes. And from what I've seen, something like 37% of income tax filers receive more than they paid in. So let them pay a bit more in. Those people should be paying.
How much Tax is enough ? or is it a never ending story
The USA Government IS spending enough on Education. The Problems with Public School education is NOT "we're not spending enough money".
35 % Capital Gains tax is ENOUGH. We need more viable businesses paying the existing Tax, not raise the Tax so fewer business survive and Tax Revenue decreases.
MORE Taxes are NOT the answer, Unless the Question is "How can we GROW GOVERNMENT ?"
I run my household with the $$$s I have coming in. When the Government has its hand out for money, its Free money the Government does NOT EARN. I EARN the money, and I gave enough already.......PORK Spending and failed Bailouts were financed by YOU and ME.
The government has ENOUGH..................manage it, and quit spending what I cannot Afford.
Lets limit the Government Credit Card, even a Drunken Sailor quits spending when he runs out of Money.
Here is the Union's answer to Taxes and more Taxes, and thier "reasoning".
Since you asked
10% of income tax filers paying no tax at all is not enough.
37% of all filers filing taxes as a form of revenue is not enough.
The big question in my mind is how many of those 37% are getting money from the government in one form or another before they ever go to file their taxes.
Here is a Report of who really wants taxes raised, and WHY
Looks like the Opposite of a Tea Party, as the Chicago Paper Reports on the Unions and what they want from all the rest of us....our Tax money, for non-performance.
