RNC Chairman Poll
Submitted by Tiger4Truth on Sat, 12/13/2008 - 20:48
Just put up a poll to get a sense of who informed voters would choose if they could vote for the RNC Chairman.

I'm waiting for david to make a post
about Palin, heh heh.
I am really torn about who should get it. All men seem very capable and have good ideas. My only concern would be Dawson and his association with that club. Let's hope that this battle doesn't get too personal and that the winner will find a way to bring the runner-ups on-board after the election.
My concerns are as follows:
a) Dawson: Hurts us where we need help most. Not another southern white male
b) Saltsman: See above; plus is he a front for Huck? Not sure our chair ought to be aligned with an aspirant for '12
c) Duncan: Invisible as a spokesman. Not what we need now
d) Steele: GOPAC sorta drifted and he was supposed to be in charge. A great "face", but what about nuts & bolts?
e) Anuzis: Tech savvy and my party chair likes him, but local party has lost ground recently
And David, I do not think our party chair should be an actual aspirant for '12.
David is going to post that moving image of Palin
It's cool that we have Palin-bots (we've even got Jindal-bots, Mitch Daniels-bots, Sanford-bots, does Pawlenty have a 2012 site up yet?), I think the 2012 race is going to demonstrate just how differently we behave than the dems. Obamabots were flinging the race-card at Clinton (e.g. the race memo is the evidence) and Clintonistas were flinging sexism charges at Obama.
Heh. Heh.
Tell me once again, guys, which one of your RNC buds you think capable of dropping down into a 2010 Republican Congressional district race for a few rallies, draw enormous crowds and give our guy a blow-out victory. Come on! Name one of your guys that can do that -- has done that. If you can't, you're just pissing in the wind.
I understand full well why you don't think a presidential aspirant may not be a good pick for the RNC Chair. But these are extraordinary times that call for extraordinary measures. We have to think out of the box guys -- think out of the box for a change.

The thing is david
I would support her for RNC chairperson and I'm not a Palin-bot either....the issue is that she has expressed no interest at all in the job and it's getting late in the game for a sitting governor who happens to the most popular person in the party right now to dive into the race.
My hope is that Mitt would jump in but doing so would essentially take anyone out of the running for a 2012 presidential bid. David, if she's not in it, who do you think of the six that she privately supports? I hope she or any of the other governors don't come out announce their support for a candidate as that could create even more drama and divisions. Huckabee shouldn't have issued his support for salzman publically, we could have inferred that.
