Perhaps Israel should re-occupy some of Gaza

Out of the Box idea.Since 1967, Israel has been grossly incompetent at "Occupation".  Compare theirs with the US / Bush occupation and democratization of Iraq. Israelis, whose side I mostly support, have nevertheless been racistly uncaring about helping the Palestinians enjoy Human Rights and other Civilization benefits. Now, Israel should slice off about 10% of Gaza, near the border, and re-occupy it. Put up cement car stops and fence in a new border, and send the Palestinians into re-education work and food camps, where they are taught how to be productive capitalist workers from the carrot - no carrot approach. Do work and get paid; or don't and don't. But no free food. Enforce free speech and free religion and thorough house searches of every house in the 10% re-occupied. Promise to return that part to a Palestinian state that agrees to borders with Israel in a Peace Agreement. Claim that a Peace Agreement, not a ceasefire, is the goal. Israel should be drafting Israeli Arabs for a big part of occupation force. They should also be setting up soccer and other sports for the boys, especially, along with English language schools for both boys and girls....

 

Is this TheNextRight a good place for Out Of the Box speculative ideas?  Or should I use another blog?

Jews who "don't want their daughters to marry one of them" are racists.  In fact, anybody of any group who doesn't want their children to marry outside of their group are, to some extent, group racists.

That's most of us, but then there's the issue of Israeli treatment of Israeli non-Jewish Arabs in the Jewish State.  It's not really equal rights.

I still support the above-average intelligence Jews in having the democratic state of Israel, but the likely futures are looking grim, to me, right now. 

Bulldoze Gaza, for instance, seems much worse than re-occupation and trying to do occupation / civilizing re-education correctly.

You have black jews, white jews, and even chinese jews of wheatcolored complexion. There is no race here.

If you speak of bigotry, or of ingroup/outgroup hostility, yes that is real. But it's multifaceted, and more so than you understand.

Blacks are discriminated against in Israel. There is Bigotry.

Russians are discriminated against in Israel. There is Bigotry.

Israeli Arabs serve in the Israeli military. This is nothing new.

I do not think it is anything special for a person to not want to marry outside of their religious beliefs, at least to the Western point of view -- if you take the Japanese "I can visit and pray at as many temples as I can find" view, of course it's less of a problem!

To treat the Jewish people as being a race, and not merely an ethnic group (akin to Hispanics, who often choose "multirace" because they believe in acknowledging their combined indian and caucasian heritage), or a religious group, is wrong.

Assumign that jews are smarter than your average shmoo is also wrong. It isn't true.

You call it Bigotry, I call it Racism.

Neither is so special, but both are equally wrong -- so I use them interchangeably.

If you want to defend bigotry as 'not as bad as racism', or some other defense, please do so.  I see it's very important for you to claim that what I do "is wrong".  But what I'm most interested in what is right -- optimal -- among the realist alternatives.

Israel needs an Operation Gaza Freedom, to create an Iraq-style Freedom in Gaza. 

Or else they should plan on evacuation after Iran gets a bomb, and before some terrorists use in on Tel Aviv.
