Gran Torino

I took the wife to see the Clint Eastwood movie "Gran Torino" tonight. It is a well done movie with an excellent redemptive twist that successfuly avoids the Hollywood cliches. It is gloriously politically incorrect as well. I highly reccomend it.

Clint Eastwood is a national treasure.
Nothing left to prove, all the money he needs, Clint Eastwood, makes movies only for the joy of plying his craft. This movie is a wonderful film that carries strong messages about justice, violence, family and American's willingness to sacrifice and serve others, no matter their station.
This one will have you laughing and leave you crying. I highly recommend it.
Almost forgot one other thing
The scenes where Clint defends himself and others with his guns make a very effective argument for the right to keep and bear arms. The ability of one old man to hold off and force several younger, faster, stronger young thugs to back down is a clear demonstration of the equalizing effect of a gun.
