"N-Word" on the Hill? Where's Tipper?
Washington Times reporting via AP about lawmakers badgered by racial epithets by teaparters on the Hill yesterday, the day before the government takeover of healthcare.
House Democrats heard it all Saturday — words of inspiration from President Barack Obama and raucous chants of protests from demonstrators. And at times it was flat-out ugly, including some racial epithets aimed at black members of Congress.
A nice juxtapostion of the Holy One v. your typical, white teapartier in the AP’s opener paragraph.
One would think the crowds were entirely made up of people just like Obama’s Grandma.
Plainly, this is meant to discredit and characterize healthcare opposition as racist, as though “most of the day’s important work leading up to Sunday’s historic vote on health care was being done behind closed doors” (2nd paragraph) to expressly avoid dangerous, spitting, ”anger-fueled demonstrators” who chant the n-word while lynching an Obama effigy to dictums of “KILL the bill.”
At a time when we’re so obviously still racist, I’ve wondered where Tipper and her dem crew have been on the use of N.I.G.G.E.R. in rap songs for the past year. Al Gore’s time would have been better spent in support of his wife’s old cause than chasing the ghosts of global warming. Protect the first black President voted into office by a blind America, after all.
Tom Hanks, the great race scholar can help them.
Obama isn’t the only black person in America and blacks are still using it on their own “people” since he got elected.
Address the use of the “n-word” among blacks, address the anger of the American public against government take over of healthcare.
Our opposition to socialized healthcare has nothing to do with race, and everything to do with shackling future American to debt and socialist control for generations.

Race Baiting
Wow, what a weekend. On the eve of historic healthcare reform, the Tea Party scumbags have exposed their true nature by spitting on a congressman, calling them the "n" word and even hurling homophobic insults.
Instead of just condemning and disassociating yourself from the Tea Party racists Veronica, you feel the need to make excuses for them? Sheesh.
Sorry, wrong again on Race baiting....we have the Video
The "March" of the Caucus thru the Tea Partiers outside the Capitol, on Video, with Sound, shows the non problem of the false accusations of the Race Baiters.
Its on You Tube. And, where are the charges being filed ? Its a hate crime.....why didn't they prosecute ? Because its a lie, and useful Idiots are "talking about that which they know nothing of". Congrats, you have been used by ABC, CBS, CNN, etc....
I have a film clip of JFK alive and well and waving to the
crowds in Dallas on November 22, 1963. Does that "prove" he wasn't shot a few minutes later?
You are singing from the wrong hymn sheet. The official Republican Party line is not that "it didn't happen", but that "it is perfectly OK if things like this happen".
Is your JFK Film Clip in color ?
Did you just come from a JFK CONSPIRACY Blog ? You took a wrong turn on the Internet, stupid non sensical arguments are over at KOS or MOVEON ....WE talk facts here.
The Tea Party Video and sound stand as un-challenged evidence of a non Crime...but you can submit your Black and white film....CNN may use it to counter the same day color Video and the 78 Eye witnesses at the Tea Party "march thru".
Are your JFK witnesses still ALIVE ?
Except for you
no one denies it happened.
Here's Iowa's top teabagger, Steve King:
Here is Devin Nunes (R-CA):
Do try and keep up - you are supposed to be arguing that it is OK if things like this happen.
Hey, we're in DC video'in not Iowa
You got nothing but Racists accusations against Tea Parties.
You are a Hate Crime yourself, plus, you are a Useful Idiot for the Race Baiters.
The 9/12 DC Tea Party had a particular Sign/Poster That applies to this situation....It Read..
NO MATTER WHAT THIS SIGN SAYS YOU WILL CALL ME A RACIST
Congrats, you fullfilled a Tea Partier's "Vision" of a Left leaning Idealist. We can see you coming, and going....going soon from DC...about Novemberish.
How does quoting the words of two of your Representatives
equate to making "Racists" (sic, 2x) accusations against tea parties?
Nope, not my Reps, here is a quote from My Representative
"Lets be blunt; John Lewis is a liar. He claimed the N-word was shouted over and over at him and yet no camera among the many there has caught anything of the sort. In other words, there is no doubt about it; he was and is lying straight through his teeth. As so is McClatchys William Douglas who filed the story, no doubt knowing full-well that it was false.
This is nothing but Standard Democrat Operating Procedure; shrieking accusations of racism, knowing they would be uncritically echoed by masquerading partisan operatives in the media like William Douglas, is as integral to Democrat politics as funneling taxpayer money to public employee unions for them to kickback into their campaign war chests. There has not been a single competitive election, legislative battle or even debate on the issues in the past four decades that Democrats have not parachuted charges of racism and hate.
That's my Rep above.....He's been there, heard that.
John Lewis is filing charges ? Yes ? No ? Must be Vaporware hate manufactured to fit your talking points.
TEA PARTY exposes yet more Lies.
Don't know how to break this to you, but Redstate is
not one of the houses of Congress.
I don't know how to break this to you, BUT........
Eric Erickson has NOT been bought and paid for by the WH administration or Pelosi, thus he is more a representative of the People than Stupak, Nelson, the Louisianna Purchase, etc..
And then you accused David Nunes and Steve King of being my "reps", and that isn't so.....So I'm sticking with the Tea Party supporters who are my Representatives....they were in DC this weekend, ya know ?
And since, like Palin, the Tea Party is regularly Attacked (as Identified in this article here) the Dems must be scared as hell, so much so that they plant LIES that do not work....sorta like the Lies that made Palin a Millionaire book Author, and a FOX news platform to counter the Propagandists, like YOU>
excellent analogy
If you can't provide a video you are an obvious liar and a race baiter, even if you happen to be an iconic civil rights' leader. I am glad MLK Jr. is long dead, if he were alive today one can only imagine the nasty smears he may have had to live through.
Yes it is an Excellant analogy, per Gateway Pundit, more proof
There were several cameras filming the democratic representatives as they walked to the Rayburn Office Building. And, the representatives had at least two cameras filming the entire event. (It was almost as if they were expecting something to happen?)
http://gatewaypundit.firstthings.com/2010/03/media-fraud-more-proof-that-leftist-media-lied-about-racist-attacks-on-black-reps-while-they-ignored-vulgar-attacks-by-lib-politicians/
But I doubt the "acceptance" of a Video by people who WANT lies to be TRUE......
Lets be clear---unless you
Lets be clear---unless you pay all your healthcare bills yourself without insurance you are using a form of socialized healthcare----it comes down to who is running the socialized system. The majority of people know that our healthcare system is screwed up and want it improved. But when the you put labels on the healthcare bill like " Obama care" and "Government take over" it skews the answers all to hell and then the Republicans can run around like jackasses saying that Americans don't want to change. This bill needs a lot of work---but at least the Democrates had the guts to stand up and do it-----while the party of hope you fail sat on thier asses and did nothing for decades. You might be surprised---this could be good for America and the Democrates----
Harvard researchers say 62% of all personal bankruptcies in the U.S. in 2007 were caused by health problems—and 78% of those filers had insurance
By Catherine Arnst
Medical problems caused 62% of all personal bankruptcies filed in the U.S. in 2007, according to a study by Harvard researchers. And in a finding that surprised even the researchers, 78% of those filers had medical insurance at the start of their illness, including 60.3% who had private coverage, not Medicare or Medicaid.
Medically related bankruptcies have been rising steadily for decades. In 1981, only 8% of families filing for bankruptcy cited a serious medical problem as the reason, while a 2001 study of bankruptcies in five states by the same researchers found that illness or medical bills contributed to 50% of all filings. This newest, nationwide study, conducted before the start of the current recession by Drs. David Himmelstein and Steffie Woolhandler of Harvard Medical School, Elizabeth Warren of Harvard Law School, and Deborah Thorne, a sociology professor at Ohio University, found that the filers were for the most part solidly middle class before medical disaster hit. Two-thirds owned their home and three-fifths had gone to college.
Harvard researchers say 62%
That's true, but the bill just passed won't do anything to help that--it's just trying to force more and more people into the failed system that already drives to bankruptcy those with insurance, and, once "market forces" wishful thinking is set aside, does nothing to curb costs at all. It's a corporate welfare bill, not a health care reform bill, and it shouldn't have been passed. Given that it sets up what is, in essence, publicly subsidized bribery of elected officials by the insurance industry (making any future reform virtually impossible), real reformers will rue the day this is signed into law.
I wonder what these percentages are ?
For as long as the political fight took over the past year, the abbreviated review process on the health care legislation currently pending on President Obamas desk is unquestionably going to result in some surprises as happens with any piece of mashed-up legislation both for the congressmen who voted for it and for the American people.
One such surprise is found on page 158 of the legislation, which appears to create a carveout for senior staff members in the leadership offices and on congressional committees, essentially exempting those senior Democrat staffers who wrote the bill from being forced to purchase health care plans in the same way as other Americans.
Or, maybe its just the principle ? HC Coverage that nobody in DC WANTS ?
About that Pro-Obama Harvard Research
http://www.businessweek.com/bwdaily/dnflash/content/jun2009/db2009064_666715.htm
"But medically bankrupt families with private insurance reported average out-of pocket medical bills of $17,749, while the uninsured's bills averaged $26,971. Of the families who started out with insurance but lost it during the course of their illness, medical bills averaged $22,658. "
$22 - $26K isn't a lot of money. Back "in the day," people worked to pay off their medical bills.
Hell, they work to pay off their cars that cost just as much. Can we now expect car loan pay-offs or socialized vehicle buying?
Oh, wait -- we did have that with the Clunker program. And then Obama's trying to "give us" mass transit on rails because its "good for us." A right to a train ride and a right to clean air, though we exhume the toxic stuff. The dolts.
Let's be frank. It's easier to file for bankruptcy, it's easier to throw your medical bills in the trash, ESPECIALLY when everyone and their dog (they'll be insured by socialized insurance someday too, I'm sure) knows that an illegal alien can WALK INTO an ER, ring up a $10K, $25K hospital bil and WALK AWAY.
Your stat is not credible and an example of ppl working the system, walking away from their debt, and dependence of the teat of the Mama Government.
Obama just gave the federal government plastic surgery, size DDDD.
Surprise: we're paying for it, now or later. Plastic surgery's already getting that 5% tax, right?
The Government's just legitimized ppl to walk away from their medical bills, shifting backruptcy from the individual to the American free market.
This will bankrupt our economy.
Racebaiting or no, black or white or not, we will all be poorer.
Niiiice operational strategy to redistribute the wealth, doncha tink?
Socialists.
